I saw it coming, the moment that would change everything.

Alpha Luciano pushed me aside, his eyes locked on mine, and took the bullet meant for me.

The sound of the gunshot still echoes in my mind, a deafening boom that seemed to shatter the very air around us.

"No!" I screamed, my voice raw and desperate as Luciano fell to the ground, his body limp and unresponsive.

"Lu-lu... Luciano!"

I dropped to my knees beside him, cradling his head in my lap, my hands trembling as I tried to stem the flow of blood from the wound.

"Luciano, no, please, no." I sobbed, my tears falling onto his face, mingling with the sweat and blood.

"You can't leave me, you can't die."

He looked up at me, his eyes cloudy with pain, but a weak smile on his lips.

"I'm...I'm fine, Peniel." he whispered, his voice barely audible.

"I'm a strong Alpha...I won't...I won't die."

"I'll be alright.. it's just a small wound." He whispered as blood gushed out of his now frail body.
