Chp 9 Pt. 3 Graduation

Ace and I are a bit jealous of my mother and Natasha getting to spend the day with Ahsoka and I am stuck here in business meetings. Dad wants to update all treaties with our neighboring allies to ensure me having a half angel, half human for a luna doesn’t cause any rifts. No one seems to have an issue with this but have many questions since as there are many out there that frown upon mixing species. It makes our meeting last longer than I anticipated. Thankfully Celine and Gibson are also present and they fill in the holes about angels that I don’t know. All of a sudden everyone goes quite and I feel the pull of Ahsoka wanting to mind link us. I find it weird she is linking the whole pack.
“Someone help me!” I am immediate panic mode, she sounds so scared.
“Ahsoka what’s wrong,” I, along with several other voices ask.
“Someone is trying to shove me in a car, please help me!”

AhsokaI am left on the couch with Dimitri as Nico turns and takes off towards the forest. I am in shock at what he is saying, he blames his mother. I am surprised at his behavior and don’t know what to say. AhsokaFriday finally has arrived. Graduation day. I can’t believe I don’t have to attend another year of school. I got accepted into the local university and for now I plan on majoring in social work. I want to help children like me and even women suffering with abuse within the pack and out in the community. Maybe start some safe houses for women to escape their abusers. Nico had early meetings this morning so he is already gone. NicoWhen I come out from the tree I stare at my mate for a moment. She is sitting on a log looking at the view over the falls. The moonlight is shining down on her and it gives her skin a glowing appearance. She really does look like an angel at that moment. AhsokaThough I have now been taught how to swim, I am not a strong swimmer and the shore is so far away I don’t think I’ll make it. I hit the water and I feel the sting of the impact. Thankfully it’s not winter so the water is not freezing. I see a rock to my left and I realize I came very close to dying. I struggle to keep my head above water as I try to make it to the rock I barely missed and once I safely make it I rest on top of it.It’s mostly in the water with the top barely skimming the surface, but at least it gives me something to hold onto until help arrives. Nico“Dad, the bond is gone, I can’t feel it.” Gibson makes another portal and dad grabs me to force me to walk. We all go through and find ourselves in the hospital.“Dr. Lee! We need you now,” my dad says but more as an order. A gurney appears and I set Ahsoka down. Nurses and Dr. Lee move around each other like a dance, hooking machines up to her and beginning CPR.“She’s hypothermic!”I don’t even hear anything else they’re saying. I see them wheel her away and I am left standing there. My mother then walks through the door and I suddenly lose it. I sob harder than I ever have before. She rushes to me and I hug her like I did when I was a little boy needing the comfort of his mother.

Ahsoka When I wake up I can feel this electric current sensation traveling up and down my right side. I open my eyes and adjust to the darkness. The lights are off and it’s dark outside. I can hear the monitor begin to beep faster as panic sets in but I look to my right and see Nico. I immediately calm down and smile at him. He is asleep. I try to sit up but my body refuses to hold my weight. I feel very weak. I try to remember what happened but for some reason can only remember being in cold water. Nico begins to stir and opens his eyes. Once he sees that I am awake he jumps and I think I see tears in his eyes. “Oh my goddess, you’re awake. How do you feel? AhsokaIt’s the day before my birthday and Kateri said we are having a small family birthday celebration for me. I don’t know what to expect at a birthday party since I’ve never had or been to one. I know you typically get gifts and a cake. We had a funeral for all the wolves that died the day of graduation. It was really sad but there were lots of stories shared about those died and there were many laughs at those memories. I hope I don’t have to attend one of those again for a long time.Nico seems to think I will shift tonight at midnight for the first time. He says that no matter what time I was born new wolves shift at midnight on the day they were born. Nico is worried about the pain of the first shift but I told him not to worry about it.
