Chp 9 Pt. 5 Gradution
Ahsoka
Friday finally has arrived. Graduation day. I can’t believe I don’t have to attend another year of school. I got accepted into the local university and for now I plan on majoring in social work. I want to help children like me and even women suffering with abuse within the pack and out in the community. Maybe start some safe houses for women to escape their abusers. Nico had early meetings this morning so he is already gone. I get out of bed and shower to get ready for the day.
I walk downstairs in the dress Kateri bought me and I see Dimitri at the bottom of the stairs.
“Well don’t you look gorgeous Ahsoka.”
“Thanks dad..uh..I mean..” He walks over to me with the biggest grin and gives me a hug.
“Dad is perfect.” It’s the same thing Kateri said when I slipped with mom.

NicoWhen I come out from the tree I stare at my mate for a moment. She is sitting on a log looking at the view over the falls. The moonlight is shining down on her and it gives her skin a glowing appearance. She really does look like an angel at that moment. AhsokaThough I have now been taught how to swim, I am not a strong swimmer and the shore is so far away I don’t think I’ll make it. I hit the water and I feel the sting of the impact. Thankfully it’s not winter so the water is not freezing. I see a rock to my left and I realize I came very close to dying. I struggle to keep my head above water as I try to make it to the rock I barely missed and once I safely make it I rest on top of it.It’s mostly in the water with the top barely skimming the surface, but at least it gives me something to hold onto until help arrives. I look around and try to judge how far it is to the shore but the memory of nearly drowning keeps me from trying.I can still hearing fighting above. Nico“Dad, the bond is gone, I can’t feel it.” Gibson makes another portal and dad grabs me to force me to walk. We all go through and find ourselves in the hospital.“Dr. Lee! We need you now,” my dad says but more as an order. A gurney appears and I set Ahsoka down. Nurses and Dr. Lee move around each other like a dance, hooking machines up to her and beginning CPR.“She’s hypothermic!”I don’t even hear anything else they’re saying. I see them wheel her away and I am left standing there. My mother then walks through the door and I suddenly lose it. I sob harder than I ever have before. She rushes to me and I hug her like I did when I was a little boy needing the comfort of his mother.

Ahsoka When I wake up I can feel this electric current sensation traveling up and down my right side. I open my eyes and adjust to the darkness. The lights are off and it’s dark outside. I can hear the monitor begin to beep faster as panic sets in but I look to my right and see Nico. I immediately calm down and smile at him. He is asleep. I try to sit up but my body refuses to hold my weight. I feel very weak. I try to remember what happened but for some reason can only remember being in cold water. Nico begins to stir and opens his eyes. Once he sees that I am awake he jumps and I think I see tears in his eyes. “Oh my goddess, you’re awake. How do you feel? AhsokaIt’s the day before my birthday and Kateri said we are having a small family birthday celebration for me. I don’t know what to expect at a birthday party since I’ve never had or been to one. I know you typically get gifts and a cake. We had a funeral for all the wolves that died the day of graduation. It was really sad but there were lots of stories shared about those died and there were many laughs at those memories. I hope I don’t have to attend one of those again for a long time.Nico seems to think I will shift tonight at midnight for the first time. He says that no matter what time I was born new wolves shift at midnight on the day they were born. Nico is worried about the pain of the first shift but I told him not to worry about it. Ahsoka“Happy birthday Ahsoka,” Nico whispers in my ear.The patio has all sorts of decorations with porch lights strung up on the pergola and there is a beautiful cake with roses on it. The sun is setting, making the lights even more beautiful as they sparkling in the night. The whole family is here, including Jackson, Jayden and my guards. AhsokaAfter all the excitement, Nico leads me to a meadow. He says this is where all the pack runs are held besides the graduation run. Currently it is growing beautiful wild flowers and there are fireflies everywhere. The whole family is with me to go on a run together. Nuka doesn’t have a wolf yet, so Kateri is going to stay behind but she wants to see my wolf. There is less than a minute and I have a mix of emotions from nervousness to impatience so I can meet my wolf.
