The author doesn't support any of the ideology or the relationship— friendship or romantic— being presented in this story. This was merely written for entertainment sake, not to be followed and used as an ideal. There are many things that are wrong in this novel morally, and therefore, don't let this novel influence you."

Esther Ellis was always the unnoticed one.

At home, it was her excellent younger brother and twin sister that had the attention. When it came to school, she was treated as an non-existent student both by students and teachers alike.

Esther didn’t pin the blame on anyone since her introverted nature played a role as well, and holding a conversation with someone got her sweating.

Nevertheless, it would be great if she had a friend, someone to converse with in order to let her feelings about certain issues. And the reason behind Esther’s current dilemma was her newfound crush— Asher Willis.

With those luscious black locks, bright blue eyes, and slightly tan skin coupled with a muscular build, he was gorgeous. He had the ability to captivate all and throw them into a sensual fantasy.

He was new to the school yet it didn’t take him long to become the talk of the town. Everyone knew about him— parents and children alike. He elicited various sorts of reactions.

Esther knew she was no one special and didn’t dare to harbor unnecessary thoughts towards such a sought-after character. But at times, she saw the necessity of wanting to reveal about these emotions to someone.

Esther was going through her locker when the conversations from the crowd reached into her ear. It was about the eighteenth birthday party of Asher Willis.

They were discussing who was permitted to go. It was already a given that Esther would have no part in that. As much as disheartening it was, Esther knew these occasions weren’t for her— not when she couldn’t hold a five minute talk with a stranger.

Carrying her books from her locker, she was about to head towards the classroom when she felt that presence. The students gathered at the sides to make a clear path for Asher and his friends. The reverence towards them was clear as a day.

Esther raised her head to sneak a glance.

Asher appeared as flawless as always. The air of power around him was obvious while he had that nonchalance etched on to his friends. He was usually in group of four, consisting of two equally mesmerizing male and a beautiful girl.

The charisma of them were unmatched although the only one that made ripples in Esther’s heart was Asher.

Everyone fawned over them, trying to have a conversation, and the sight of that felt terrifying to Esther. As the group entertained the crowd that was little too enthusiastic due to the birthday, Esther tried to go past them without bumping into anyone.

However, as her unfortunate luck would have it, she was elbowed by someone. Her small build and weak body made it easy for her to get pushed around.

That’s why, she braced herself for the fall and that embarrassment that would follow up afterwards. She closed her eyes, but before that came, she felt that tight grip on her arm. The touch led sparks to spread through her being.

Opening her eyes slowly, she was met with those familiar blue eyes, and it sent butterflies through her.
