CHAPTER 55: TRIALS

ELENA’S POV,

The Trial room was silent.

The members of the Council were seated in their carved chairs, reviewing the evidence my representative had presented before them. And just a few seats away from me, Julian was too stunned to speak, and his representative was sweating profusely. He could see the case slipping out of his hand.

They didn't expect us to find any evidence against him; Julian proved that in the morning. Even before the trials started, he came to us and asked if I had packed my things. He was confident that the Council was going to be on his side. Hence, when his secretary's name was mentioned, my satisfaction level reached a new high, seeing the change in his facial expressions.

It didn't take long for his grin to fade when my representative mentioned that he was having an affair with her, and thats why Im requesting a fault divorce, just as the Council mentioned in the pre-trials.
