Chapter 33:Revenge

Kendrick lay on his bed holding Serena close to him. He watched her as she slept, her chest rising and falling in deep slumber. She was awake enough to hug him when he regained consciousness before passing out after losing a lot of blood. Her blood actually healed him;his wounds were healing and closing up already and his colour was back. He didn't feel weak anymore, thanks to the precious angel beside him. After being asleep for days, he didn't feel an ounce of tiredness. All he wanted was to be alone with his mate. He took her hands and examined it. The healers had healed the wound she inflicted on herself.

His heart still soared each time he remembered she said she loved him. He had waited to hear those words from her since he met her. He didn't want to rush her so he gave her the time she needed. He thought back to the day he found her, months ago. It seemed like yesterday. Now he was complete, with his mate beside him.

A knock sounded on the door
