Serena got off her bed and headed to the bathroom. She didn't feel too good. The terrible dreams she has been having left her feeling scared, worried and insecure. Her eyes fell on the black card Logan Michaelson left. He was her real father and he had all the answers to her questions. But the stubborn part in her didn't give in to the urge to call him. She didn't need his help. She was fine on her own. Tears pooled in her eyes as she remembered the funeral of her late foster parents. She would miss them forever. Although they never told her the truth about her real parents, she didn't hold any grudge against them. She took a long shower, feeling the warm water soothe her skin and wash away the tiredness. She felt her muscles relaxing and she let out a deep breath. She took out the pretty pink dress her foster mom had gifted her on her birthday and put it on. It clashed strongly with her purple hair but she didn't mind. Then she brushed out her long wavy hair and scooped it into
Somewhere deep down within the mountains in a secluded part of the forest, three figures in black robes stood around a temple made of hard earth. A sign was etched into the earth and other signs were carved around it. There was a large blue crystal in the middle of the temple and it pulsed with energy. One of the hooded figures retrieved a knife from its robe and slit its palm. Great gouts of black blood poured out and sizzled as it dropped on the earth. Almost instantly, the would healed up. The three figures started chanting a strange spell and blue smoke billowed out from the crystal. The smoke swirled and images could be seen on it. There was a girl with purple hair and silver eyes, and then it changed to another scene where a massive beast prowled around aggressively. It was a lycan. The scene changed again to another where a strong purple light emanated from the purple haired girl. Her eyes were glowing brightly. She seemed to be staring at the hooded figures. Suddenly the smok
18 years ago...... A woman cried out in pain as she was carried into a room. She was heavily pregnant and it was obvious that she was in labour. Her face was sweaty, her hair damp and she took in harsh breathes as the cramps reduced enough for her to breath. The man who carried her laid her gently on the bed and wiped her sweaty brows with a cool cloth. He turned to the maids standing behind him. "Hurry up and get the Sisters Of The Night. It's almost time",he said and they rushed out. He looked back at the woman as she shut her eyes and bit her lips as another cramp seized her. "Just a little longer my Isabel. The Sisters Of The Night are on their way. Soon we would have our baby" he said. Isabel looked up at him and reached out to touch his face. "Logan",she whispered. Logan took her hand in his and held on. "Incase I don't make it....." "No!" Logan refused. "Don't say such things. You're going to be fine. You and our baby will be perfectly fine.
Serena sat in deep silence after Logan finished his tale. She was shocked beyond words. She didn't believe that her dad had gone through so much just to keep her safe. She looked into his eyes and knew instantly that he was telling the truth. She thought of her mom;her real mom. She couldn't imagine how the poor woman felt when she woke up and found her daughter gone. "What happened when mom woke up?"she asked softly. Logan felt light-hearted when he heard Serena address Isabel as mom. It meant things were turning out well. "She was hysterical when she woke up. She didn't eat for a week. She only wanted you back in her arms. It took me a long time to persuade her that it was the only way to protect you from the black witches"Logan answered truthfully. "She finally relented and focused on taking care of your brother. She prayed to the moon goddess each day to keep you safe. I almost lost your mother after you were taken away". Serena closed her eyes as she f
Kendrick shifted and ran through the deep forest enjoying the feel of the wind in his silver fur. There was a full moon and the lush forest freed his mind and helped him think. There was a lot going through his mind and this made him restless. The black witches had attacked his territory last night and though they had been captured and imprisoned for questioning, his wolf felt restless. The black witches were sworn enemies to the lycanthropes since the beginning and it was only with the help of the white witches and the Sisters Of The Night that they were able to win the first war between the black witches and the other supernatural creatures. He wondered why the moon goddess had refused to kill the first black witch and instead had banished her. He didn't understand the ways of the moon goddess most times. Especially her prophecy that a chosen one will arise with the power to end the coven of the black witches. He gradually reduced his pace as he got
He felt his wolf sprinting through the forest in pure ecstasy. He was running alongside someone, and the scent of that person was intoxicating. His wolf inhaled deeply, savoring the smell of chocolate and wet rocks. He stopped at a clearing and howled towards the moon at the sky. His silver fur tingled as he felt the person touch his fur. The smell of chocolate and wet rocks filled his nostrils as he turned. Then he saw her. She was radiant, just like the full moon above them. Her hair glowed in the dark and her eyes were brilliant as they stared at him. There was a sweet smile on her lips as she whispered, "You can protect me",her voice as soothing as the cool breeze ruffling his fur. He moved closer to her, still in his enormous wolf form and nudged her with his massive head. He whined, as if needing something. The girl obliged and ran her hands through his fur and behind his ears. The beast purred softly and lowered its massive form to the ground. He heard the w
Serena's face fell as she heard her brother call her Rena. That was the name Anderson always called her when he was trying to coax her into doing something. All the memories she had with her friends came rushing back and she felt a heavy lump in her throat. She missed them sorely. Her mind skipped a beat as she remembered Jayden, her first love. There were no tears in her eyes, but she felt so upset thinking about them. Xavier noticed the change in her expression and he sighed. It had been like this for the past two weeks. Serena would be bubbling with excitement and mischief and the next minute, she would become so reserved and distant. He knew she still thought of her past life with the humans. He wished he could wipe off the memories she had of them. He would protect his sister and make sure she forgot about her past life. He cupped his hands and muttered a quick spell. A flame of white light appeared on his cupped palm. He released the flame, just as if he was relea
"Do not fret Rena. We will all keep you safe",Logan tried to comfort his daughter. Serena was terribly worried of what might happen if the black witches found her. They would no doubt kill her, to prevent the prophecy from coming to pass. She was just beginning to settle down with her new family and her future was already in danger. She just had to trust her family to keep her safe. "Dad is right Serena. We would never let anything happen to you",Xavier added and hugged her. Serena sighed in a tired sort of way. "I'm okay now",she said. She would have to be strong. And she would need to train herself to master her powers. "I guess I'm gonna need training, to be able to use my powers",she said while staring at her dad, then her twin. Xavier grinned at her. He was ready to train her. "Your brother and I will train you" Logan said. "We will start training after your welcome party",he added. "Also the Sisters Of The Night will be here on th
