Novel's POV

“I didn't take you for a club person, Miss Novel,” he said with a smirk.

My mind was replaying my dreams, but I composed myself.

“I thought we had a get-together, but it was a prank for the nerds,” I explained, gesturing toward the club’s entrance.

He laughed. Though his laugh was swallowed by the loud music, I still heard it, and it was amazing.

“You were leaving, right?”

I nodded.

“Okay, good. Let's go together.”

After saying this, he placed his hand on the small of my back. This action sent immediate shivers down my spine. I guess he noticed it, too, since he looked at me and then smirked.

I followed him out, and when we got outside the club, I felt like the happiest person alive. I won't say I'm an introvert, but I love my peace and the man beside me too. He pulled his car key from his pocket and walked me to his car. He opened the passenger door of his Lamborghini for me, and honestly, I felt like a princess in distress who had been saved by a knight in shining armor.

“Ahem,” he said, knocking me out of my thoughts. “You think a lot, Miss Novel.” He smiled as he started the engine. “I called you after the interview. Why didn't you pick up?” he asked softly. I could swear I heard the disappointment in his voice.

“Was it you?” I covered my mouth in recognition. “It was an unknown number, so I didn't pick up.” I said with a look of apology.

He laughed again. “You amuse me, Miss Novel,” he said with a smirk plastered to his face as he drove. I swear he's exactly the kind of mess I swore I'd avoid, but after all the lies, maybe a little chaos is exactly what I need. He stopped the car, and when I looked around, I realized I was at my apartment. “How did you know I live here? I didn't tell you.” Was Mr. Greek God here a stalker?

He rubbed the back of his neck anxiously, then he finally answered. “I checked your social media pages. That's how I know,” he replied with a smile. “I told you, I find you amusing, Miss Novel,” he said as he locked eyes with me. I couldn't read his expression. How could a billionaire’s son, who was also a billionaire himself, find me amusing?

Before I could say a word or react, he kissed me. It was not like I had imagined or dreamt; it was much more amazing. He kissed me softly, like he was afraid I would run away. I was so shocked I couldn't move, and I couldn't kiss back.

He pulled away a few seconds later. “Sorry,” he said, then hurried to his car and drove off, leaving me standing there in shock and happiness.

“Why did he say sorry?” I thought. Should I call to ask him? What if he says, “Sorry, I was a little drunk, that’s why” What would I do?

I could hardly sleep that night, and when I woke up, my eyes had dark circles. Just when I thought today couldn't get any worse, I received a notification from our ‘News Writing and Reporting’ class. It was a loaded class because seniors and juniors were part of it, along with some Mass Communication students. “Why me?” I have been a nerd since forever, and I am an only child. My parents are not very rich, but they are loaded, and the loneliness is the reason why I find it hard to make friends and Survive this class, since nobody really like me

I sat at the back today because the hall was full. I couldn't stop thinking about last night. “Why did he say sorry?” I kept thinking.

I didn't even notice the guy beside me until he tapped me. “Oh, hi,” I laughed awkwardly, he was The angel of yesterday.

“Leo. Leonard White,” he said, and I smiled at him.

“Do you need anything?” I asked, and he nodded.

“What?”

He smiled mischievously. “Your name, please.”

I knew I was meant to appreciate his beauty, but I couldn't get Mr. Alexei, aka Greek God, out of my mind. “Novel Hart,” I said, then turned back to my book.

I decided to focus on all my classes today so I could forget about it, but after my last class, he called.

“Hello?” I said awkwardly.

“I'm at the parking lot,” he said, then hung up.

I hurried to the parking lot and saw him in his Greek glory. He looked like a movie star as he rested on a new car. I don't know much about cars, but this was definitely not a Lamborghini.

“Hi,” I waved.

“Hi,” he said, rubbing his hands at the back of his neck.

He opened the passenger door for me, just like he did yesterday. He turned around then entered the car. The drive to my apartment was silent, too silent. The only sound in the car was the rhythmic clicking of the turn signal, feeling ten times louder in the suffocating and awkward tension. All of a sudden, he pulled the car over to the side of the road, the engine idling. I turned to him, confused. “What…” Before I could complete my sentence, he kissed me.

This time, it was different from yesterday. The kiss was filled with want and need. He bit my lower lip, and when I gasped, he slid his tongue into my mouth. He kissed me hard, and this made me grow wet. His hands found their way to my waist has he pressed me forward and kissed me hard with frustration.

“Do you hate me that much?” he whispered against my mouth.

I shook my head.

“Then why didn't you respond to my kiss?”

I was puzzled. He pulled away from me and started the car like nothing had just happened. I fiddled with my fingers, contemplating if I should tell him I was a virgin. But what if he got angry and abandoned me, just like my parents did?

  • The Alpha's World Claimed Me    Dark Dreams

Novel's POV Alexei rushed to assist me down from the carriage. I offered him a small smile before he hurried off to help the others pitch the tents. Since I didn't know the first thing about securing canvas or tying knots, I simply stood there, feeling useless. I watched the flurry of activity until Emilia left my side to join the effort, leaving me alone in the deepening shadows of the trees. The forest was breathtaking, but as I took in the ancient beauty of the pines, a strange chill prickled my skin.“Novel...”The sound was barely a breath, a haunting whisper carried on the wind that seemed to speak directly to my soul. I turned, searching for the source, and my voice failed me. My vision blurred, and the world tilted. When my senses finally snapped back, the transition was violent. I wasn't in the clearing anymore. I was waist-deep in a freezing river, the current tugging at my skirts like icy hands. Emilia was there, her grip firm on my arm as she dragged me toward the bank.

  • The Alpha's World Claimed Me    The Journey

Alexei’s POVAfter seeing Novel’s condition worsen, I knew I hadn't made a mistake by insisting we begin the journey today. Every moment we lingered was a moment her life slipped further away.I didn't join her inside the carriage. Instead, I stayed mounted on my horse, keeping a watchful eye on the perimeter. I made sure she wasn't lonely, though; I sent Emilia to ride with her. As I gripped the reins, I made a mental note to ask her what she had seen or heard that caused her eyes to bleed. The memory of that crimson trail on her cheek burned in my mind like a brand. This journey was going to be grueling, but I had to find her: the Eldest Woman of the Crystal Moon Pack.We were just passing the borders of our territory and heading into the dense treeline. The sun was still high, casting golden light through the leaves, a small mercy, as it meant we wouldn't have to deal with intruders just yet.Our path had three primary stops before we reached the Crystal Moon Pack. First, the Wolf

  • The Alpha's World Claimed Me    The Journey to The Crystal Moon Pack

Novel's POVI woke up sweating profusely. A sharp, hot spike of pain flared where the arrow had hit me, making me gasp. I leaned over the side of the bed and coughed; a splash of bright red blood hit the floor.“Novel!” Alexei’s voice cracked with panic.I couldn't hear him clearly. I was still stuck in the dream, my heart hammering against my ribs. I wasn't sure if I was awake or still drifting. Usually, the moment the arrow pierced me, I’d wake up. But this time was different. I felt the cold heaviness of death, but then I saw her. For the first time, her eyes stayed clear, deep brown almond eyes exactly like mine. Before I could see the rest of her face, my own eyes snapped open.Alexei was hovering over me, his hands shaking, and I could feel the wetness of blood on my skin.“I saw her eyes,” I said, my voice trembling.“It's okay,” Alexei tried to comfort me, but my skin was crawling with fear. The sun was just starting to peek through. We were heading to the Crystal Moon Pack t

  • The Alpha's World Claimed Me    The Crystal Moon Pack

Alexei POV Novel had been acting strange lately. She wouldn't leave her room, she refused to go to school, and though I tried talking to her, she wouldn't open up. Every time she tried to step out of the room, her nose would begin to bleed. I couldn't understand it; I couldn't think of a single reason why the very air outside her door seemed to hurt her.Today, I’d finally had enough of the quiet tension. I stepped into her room, facing her.“Talk,” I said. She looked nervous, her skin pale and waxy.“I can hear them,” she said, her lips trembling.“Hear what, Novel?”“Their thoughts. I see through their lies, and when it happens, I bleed. The voices aren't mine, but I can't help but hear them.”“And since when has this been going on?” I asked, kneeling before her. “Let me guess… since the day you woke up with the nosebleed?”She nodded. Her deep brown, almond-shaped eyes were puffy, underlined by dark, heavy bags from lack of rest.“I can't sleep. I keep seeing him in my dreams.”M

  • The Alpha's World Claimed Me    The Whisper of the minds

Novel's POV After Alexei dropped us at the University, we separated. I had an early class, but the lecture hall felt like a cage. My mind kept drifting back to the morning at the dining table, Viktor and Ava and also Emilia. I tried to shake the images and the voice I heard, but they clung to me. Was what I saw real? Was what I heard actually said?"Hey."A soft tap on my shoulder jolted me. I turned to find Leo standing there. With his golden features and gentle eyes, he looked more like a portrait of an angel than a student."Hey," I managed, my voice small. He stared at me for a few seconds , his expression unreadable as if he were weighing a difficult decision."You see, I’ve been on leave for a long time," he said, his voice laced with nervousness. "Could you... help me with your notes? Maybe tutor me?"I opened my mouth to answer, feeling a pang of sympathy for him. But then, a voice, sharper and colder than his spoken tone, sliced through my brain.Ava is going to pay me do

  • The Alpha's World Claimed Me    Pain

Alexei's POV I noticed how Novel has had a nosebleed twice today. I also noticed how frozen she was when Viktor was talking, and how confused she looked when I was wiping the blood for her. I could feel it; something was wrong, and she was hiding something from me. If what she’s hiding is the reason for her nosebleeds, then I have to know what it is. I vowed to protect her, and I will. After dropping her and Emilia off, Viktor and I went to the warehouse on the outskirts of the city. As we entered the warehouse, the smell of blood and rust hit my nose.“Where is she?” I asked.“Up,” he replied as he led the way. The upper part of the warehouse was cleaner and fresher, having only one room in the middle. Viktor opened the door, and I stepped in.She was sitting on a small chair, facing the wall. Her back was toward us.“Elora Rossi,” I called out her name to gain her attention, but she didn’t move. Instead, she laughed like a maniac.“Does she know I am here? Because I heard she has r
