Chapter 12
Klaus After my discussion with Lisa had ended, I took her back to the room, and after showing her the most affection I could, left the room for the study. Since her arrival I had been working from home, and it hadn't exactly been easy. Even though I didn't exactly care for her, I didn't want to leave my newly wedded bride for work just days after our wedding. She wasn't fully accustomed to the place, and with Maeve roaming the castle, I just couldn't leave her alone just yet. "Any recent developments?" I inquired from Damon as I settled behind one of the tables. Damon had already gotten to work the moment I dismissed him from the dining table. At the moment he was the one running everything about the company, and he was doing a terrific job. "Not much, except for the fact that we might lose a valuable investment if you don't return to work soon. Zenith Cooperation refused to sign the papers, they want a face to face meeting with the CEO before they can further the contract." Damon informed me and I rolled my eyes exhaustively. Zenith was one of the most influential companies around, and having them as an ally was something the company needed most at the moment. However, they were unwilling to partner with us until I showed my face, and with the current situation at hand, leaving the castle was not a very easy task. Icarus was around, and it was clear he was up to something, and Maeve would probably murder Lisa in cold blood the moment I stepped out of the vicinity. "They won't opt for a representative?" I asked and Damon shook his head sideways to answer. "What do we do then? I can't leave this place, not yet." "We can let the contract go and partner with other companies. We need their influence and connection, but we wouldn't exactly suffer any loss without them." Damon informed me, and although it seemed like the best option, I didn't want to remain at a stagnant position with the company. Some of the kingdom's wealth came from the numerous companies I had, and although the kingdom was stable, we needed to gain more income just in case things don't go well in the future. A breath of exhaustion broke past my lips as I turned away from Damon's gaze and tried to focus on the work waiting for me in the system. I had barely inputted my passes when another figure entered the room. At first I thought it was a guard, so I ignored it. But a second later, my nose caught the scent of a familiar presence. "Maeve? Is something the matter?" I inquired as she walked closer. She had a frown on her face, and it was clear she had a lot to say to me. Without having to think, I could already tell it had something to do with Lisa, and that she wouldn't speak unless we were alone. Reading the room, Damon excused himself but not without flashing me a warning glare. He never liked Maeve, the lady was way too intoxicating for someone as calm as Damon to get accustomed to. He never showed his dislike for her, nor did he disrespect her once, he just didn't like her when she was around me. The moment Damon left, Maeve's facial expressions shifted, and with a hungry look on her face she approached me. "You don't want to be with me anymore, do you? All you care about is her, isn't that right?" She complained with every step she took forward. With a look of exhaustion on my face, I rolled my eyes before turning away from her. It was just as I had expected, and quite frankly I wasn't in the mood to endure her tantrums. "She's my wife now, what do you want me to do?" "You're the alpha, you can do anything you want! Marry me! I might not give you the true heir you want, but I can at least satisfy you." She suggested before inching even closer. Her suggestions weren't exactly meaningless, I was allowed to have a second wife, however my true mate must be the one to bear me an heir. Marrying Maeve wasn't exactly a bad idea, however, with the relationship she had with Lisa, I would only end up getting torn apart in the middle of their conflict. "Not now Maeve, I have something to do." I opposed her as I felt her presence getting even closer. However she didn't back away, not until I had returned my gaze to her. The grin on her face widened as she approached me, her hands slowly undoing her button and bra to reveal her full and hard breasts. By the time she reached me, Maeve was already completely naked, and she got to undressing me the moment I was within her reach. It wasn't our first time, and I wasn't really opposing the idea. Lisa wouldn't let me touch her, and she wouldn't mind if I did anything with Maeve, she barely cared for anything I did. Maeve's lips graced mine, and slowly she pushed me down to the cushion by the side, her hard breasts pushing against my sturdy chest. For a brief while, I left control to her, letting her do all the work while I laid back and enjoyed it all. While her tongue wrapped around mine, Maeve's hands guided mine to her breasts, and gently she squeezed them, gesturing for me to take control. My hands circled her nipples and squeezed her demanding breasts passionately while hips rocked hard against my throbbing arousal. Pushing her over, I subdued her to the bed and pinned her down with my body. And without restraint, brought my middle finger down and slid it gently over her folds. Anna threw her head back, and a light moan escaped her lips. "Keep going.." She breathed. I did it again, this time my fingertip slipping between and gathering her wetness. She cried out against my lips, her back arched in the most seductive manner ever. Two fingers worked into her, and her eyes rolled back into her head. I began a steady rhythm, every thrust and pull, a delicate and well calculated movement. Again, she arched her back and her breasts pushed hard against my skin. I brought my lips down on her nipples, roughly I suckled on them, and between intervals would give her tip, a gentle bite. Her hands tangled in my hair, and she pulled on them. Her legs wrapped around me, and her legs spread demandingly. Taking the hint, I urged myself to further our lustful encounter, but couldn't go on. "What is it, why did you stop?" Maeve questioned, her ragged breath all over the place as she spoke. "I have something important to do—" "It can wait! I know you want me!" Maeve interjected desperately. "I know she doesn't let you touch her! You're starving, I can give you what you want—" "Enough Maeve! Just leave, I need to focus on work!" I yelled at her, and only then did she stop talking. Tears gathered in her eyes as she slowly picked up her clothes from the floor. Her lips were trembling in opposition, and I could tell she wanted to say a lot of things to me. However, she was too hurt to even make a proper sentence. I turned my face away, not wanting to be riddled by guilt. I had no idea why I felt the need to be faithful to Lisa Thornberry, but it had happened. We didn't love each other, and neither of us respected this marriage, yet a part of me just couldn't go ahead with cheating on her. Maeve pushed past me as she raced out of the study, and only then did the tension in the air finally subside. The energy I once had was completely depleted, and all I could think about at the moment was Lisa, and what she would look like naked.Chapter 15Icarus I had expected her a lot sooner, but even this timing was perfect for me. Although hurt and full of rage, I could still tell that Maeve was being extremely cautious of me. Klaus had probably warned her to stay away from me, but she had grown too desperate, and had clearly ignored those words of advice. "It's been far too long Maeve, what brings you here?" I inquired while I gestured for her to settle beside me. She obeyed, but didn't exactly sit on the designated spot I had pointed out for her. I knew why she was here, and I knew exactly what she wanted. I had walked into her crying on the day of Klaus and Lisa's mating night, and I had taken my time to exploit her at that moment. She had pushed me away, but that was after I had planted seeds of doubt in her head, and dropped down my address for her. Maeve was in love with Klaus, that much was evident, and she was an obsessive lover. Klaus on the other hand had only agreed to be with Maeve just to foster a good re
Chapter 14Lisa "I....I..it's you!" I squeezed out in a fake enraged tone. "You take me away from the man I love, keep me locked up in this place, and then you ask me who hurt me?"Klaus shrunk back in shock, he hadn't expected my answer, and definitely didn't expect my outburst. He had been genuinely worried for my safety, but for Mark's sake this was the only option I could come up with. Klaus couldn't know that I had gone to visit Mark, he wouldn't take that information very well. And he couldn't know that Mark was the reason I was crying, that would only make things worse. "Push me away all you want, you still can't change the fact that you're my mate, and I'm yours!" Klaus shot back at me. "When are you going to accept reality and move on?!" He yelled before turning away from my teary eyes. At first I assumed it was a bloodstain, but after close observation, I finally managed to confirm that it was indeed lipstick. It was stuck just behind the collar of his shirt and I was cer
Chapter 13Lisa The moment Klaus left the room, I immediately jumped down from the bed and hurried to the clinic once more. I just couldn't sit aside while Mark was busy fighting for his life. With the help of some guards, I was able to find my way to the clinic. And the moment I arrived, I raced straight to Mark's room without asking for the nurse's permission. Mark was awake when I arrived, and unlike before, he wasn't coated in bandages and syringes. His healing speed had regained its output, and most of the injuries were already gone. I had a bright smile on my face as I approached his bed, but the same couldn't be said for Mark. At first he pretended like he hadn't seen me enter the room, and when he could no longer ignore my presence, he turned his face away from me. "Don't do that Mark, we both know I didn't have a choice." I pleaded with him, but he wasn't exactly listening."What are you doing here then, if you didn't have a choice? You shut me down for him! You've clearly

Chapter 11Lisa I sat beside Klaus, and the only reason why I hadn't been scolded and kicked out was merely because Klaus was seated by my side. To these men, my status as the Alpha's bride meant nothing to them. All they could see when they looked at me was an omega who wasn't worth anything, and that was evident in their eyes. To them I was nothing more than one of the hungry ladies that roamed the streets, I had only gotten lucky, and luck didn't matter to them one bit. All five of the elders before me had smiles on their faces, but their happiness had nothing to do with me. They were merely happy that Klaus had found his mate, and that they wouldn't have to worry about getting disbanded and losing their worth to Icarus. "We've gotten the mating ceremony done, is she with child yet?" One of the elders asked, his greedy eyes wide with expectations. "Not yet, we've decided to take things slow for now. Lisa is not yet accustomed to this type of life yet." Klaus answered before rea
Chapter 10KlausI stared at her in anticipation for a reply. It was a difficult thing to ask of her, but it was necessary for my plan to work out. It would be impossible for her to love me if she remained romantically attached to someone else. I wanted to be the main focus of her love life, and for that to work, it was necessary that the idea of Mark becoming her lover in the distant future was completely vanquished."Do you promise that Lisa? You can't love him, nor can you accept his love. We're married now, we should focus on each other." I urged, and only then did she manage to speak. "What about Maeve? Will you continue to love her?" Her voice was a whisper, yet it was heavy with emotions. I hadn't expected her to throw that question at me, yet I was happy she did. I might be playing a game with her at the moment, but it wouldn't be fun if she wasn't playing along. I started my reply with a simple shake of the head. "Now that we're together, Maeve is no longer my lover." I cla
Chapter 9LisaWithout care for the people in the room, I rushed towards Mark's unconscious body and lifted him into my arms. Tears gathered around my eyes as I inspected his wounded body. He was still alive, but wasn't doing very good. His body was already cold to the touch, and death would become inevitable if he didn't get medical attention soon. "What did you do? What did you do to him?!" I questioned roughly as my tears began to drop. "The guards found him trying to sneak into the castle. And when he was caught he had the audacity to fight back and soil the name of the Alpha. Normally I would have beheaded him by now, but since he's a friend of yours, it wouldn't be fair to execute him without letting you say your goodbyes." Klaus answered coldly, his voice empty and hollow as he spoke. It was more than clear that he meant every word he said, and he was ready to kill Mark the very moment I let go of him. "Please don't hurt him, he's the only one I have left." I pleaded, and on
Chapter 8Lisa I woke up feeling cozier than usual. A familiar warmth wrapped around my body, and all I could do was let myself drown in its comfort. However, just as I was about to close my eyes a second time, I suddenly became aware of a strong arm draped protectively around me. Turning cautiously, I found herself face to face with Klaus. He was seraphic as always, even in his sleep. I took a minute to admire every arc of his face, before finally returning to reality. Frantically, I raced out of bed, and only then did Klaus's eyes open lazily. "What did you do to me?!" I yelled out as soon as he sat upright on the bed. With a look of shock, I inspected myself thoroughly, and after two minutes of silence and skepticism, I finally came to conclude that he hadn't touched me. "What were you thinking? That I took advantage of you in your sleep?" Klaus asked with an arched brow, a look of disgust etched on every corner of his handsome face. It was wrong for me to jump to conclusions t
Chapter 7KlausLisa pushed back against me anytime I attempted to get closer. I could smell her fear, yet her determination to keep me away prevailed over her fear of me. She wasn't as weak as I had made her out to be, and a part of me was proud of her. I had watched her confrontation with Maeve from the window and had sent Rudolph to fetch her. I expected her to sit still and take Maeve's bullying, but she had actually fought back, and for that brief moment I felt proud of my mate for the first time. "I won't let you do what you want with me! Even if you go on with this, I'll keep killing your babies until the day I die!" She yelled out in a shaky tone, and only then did I pull away from the unrequited embrace. I glared at her with rage in my eyes. Did she just threaten to kill my children? Maybe I had heard wrongly, surely she hadn't developed the guts to threaten the Alpha. "What did you just say?" I questioned in a calm, yet serious tone. I wanted to make sure I had heard her
