Poison and Antidote

Quinn Magenta's POV

My emotions swayed at this point but I fury and anger ruled. I had Lauren against the wall. He was pleading with me but I could hear nothing. If Dan would die, he should be ready to die with her as well.

As the Alpha of the Pack, I had visited Mount Lai several times and I knew how far the journey was. It was a six days journey and this was going by the fastest horse and not taking more than two hours rest in a day.

It wasn't an easy journey and obviously, I couldn't get help in time.

“How long does he have left?” I asked slowly. I was trying to put my emotions in check but I still had my hands around his neck. I could strangle him if he said something annoying.

“About eleven hours, my Lord…” Lauren replied fearfully.

As I heard this, I couldn't control my feelings. I strangled him and I saw him writh in pain. I didn't care about anything at this point.

Then I felt a hand on my chest. It was relaxing and gradually, I left Lauren. He fell while gripping his neck
