Chapter Seventeen

Rhys

/-Tediora-/

I didn’t beg.

Not right away.

I bit my lip and swallowed hard, refusing to give him the satisfaction of watching me melt. His thumb traced the corner of my mouth like he already knew I was lying. That I’d give in. That I always did.

He didn’t rush. He never did.

Rhys lowered his mouth to my throat, not kissing, just breathing. Just letting the heat of him curl against my skin. One hand at my hip, the other sliding up my waist, slow, coaxing, like I was some dangerous animal he didn’t want to spook.

But I was the dangerous one.

Or at least, I liked to think so.

“You’re quiet,” he murmured.

“I’m regretting coming here,” I muttered.

He smiled against my skin, and it felt like a curse. “Liar.”

His fingers slipped beneath my underwear, teasing the edge like he had all the time in the world. My hand snapped up and grabbed his wrist, and he paused.

“Oh?” he asked, tilting his head. “Setting limits now, bunny?”

“Don’t call me that.”

“But you like it,” he whi

  • The Alphas' Bodyguard Is A Girl   A Double Debt

Chapter 28A double debt/-Tediora-/I wasn't sure if I was supposed to separate the fight or not, but if I stepped out there, it would only be a confirmation of Rhys lies and I didn't want that. I wasn't ready for that. At first, it was an easy exchange of punches. Nothing too critical until their scents began thickening.I could feel the pressure in my bones. The increased flow of blood, rushing violently from the rapid pumping of my heart. A sharp pain seared through me, as breath knocked out of my lungs. My knees hit the ground and I clutched to my chest as Ava growled in pain. That was the consequence of being an omega in the midst of Alphas. They were letting loose, allowing their wolves to take over. Blood trickled down my nose, the tiny droplets hitting the floor as I crouched over. I couldn't just ignore it anymore. If I say still, this pain will drive me insane. So I held on to the door for support and pulled myself together, gritting in pain. I pushed the door open a

  • The Alphas' Bodyguard Is A Girl   A Fight

Chapter 27A Fight /-Tediora-/I stepped back, chuckling nervously. “I… I didn't know this was your… type of thing,” I said. He raised a brow. “Would that be a problem?” He asked and I bit my lip.As a novice in intimacy and a prey to my enemy, I wasn't sure BDSM was the way I wanted to start. I didn't trust this man, not even a little bit. Plus his sexual appeal always blocks off my logical thinking. I really need to do better than this. I still had questions to ask him too I groaned inwardly. It felt like my brain was working overtime and not working at the same time. Rhys gaze remained on me. Those scary beautiful eyes locked me in place, so no matter how much I was overthinking, I couldn't look away. Goosebumps razored over my skin as those red-gold orbs pierced deep like he was reading every one of them. I was just about to give in when the door bell rang. We broke contact immediately. “There's someone at the door. Wait here,” he instructed. I shrugged, it's not like I wa

  • The Alphas' Bodyguard Is A Girl   His Bed

Chapter 26His Bed/-Tediora-/I should’ve turned back the second the door closed. Should’ve run the other way and told Ava to go fuck herself with her damn bet.But I didn’t.I stepped further in.Rhys stood now, barefoot and loose in his half-open robe, his lean chest a playground of ink and manliness. His eyes darkened the second I moved closer, like a predator watching its prey step willingly into the trap.I swallowed hard, unconsciously stepping back. He stretched the glass and I blinked. “Wine?” he asked with a soft smile, yet I couldn't bring myself to fully trust him. “Alcohol?” “Only thirty percent,” he smirked and my eyes narrowed, brows arching with suspicion.“Are you trying to get me drunk?”“I would hardly say that, considering I've been on the same bottle for the past thirty minutes,” the way his eyes glinted with mischief when he said those words, the smoothness with which it rolled off his tongue, I was very certain there was a catch here. “No, thanks,” I decline

  • The Alphas' Bodyguard Is A Girl   The Plan

Chapter 25The Plan/-Tediora-/I stood up abruptly and began walking away. “Hey! Where are you going?” He called after me but I ignored him. I needed to get some fresh air before I lost my freaking mind. As I walked through the garden, I thought about everything Theodore said to me. Zeke was there with Mariel that day. So why didn't he protect him? Why would he let his mate die? Injured and alone. My chest felt tight and I grabbed onto the railing, shutting my eyes tightly. When I came to MoonCrest, I had just one goal in mind. Find the murderer and give him a slow torturous death. Yet all I have done since I came here is draw unnecessary attention to myself without making any progress. I needed to think of something. Something that would make the murderer uncomfortable. Anything to make him or them realize that Mariel's death will not be swept under the rug. “If I had better control of my magic, everything would be so much easier,” I sighed. 'Don't forget there are limitation

  • The Alphas' Bodyguard Is A Girl   An Unlikely friend

Chapter 24An Unlikely friend /-Tediora-/Silence fell in the hall and my eyes fell on my saviour. Theodore?A puzzled expression crossed my face. Since our last match together, I haven't seen or interacted with him so there was no logical reason for him to save me. Or did he want to deal with me himself? That had to be it. It was the only logical explanation for this situation. As he approached me, I devises a means of escape. Since my dinner was already ruined, the best thing to do was make a run for it. “Let him go,” Theodore ordered. The boys hesitated for a second and he grabbed Ziv in a blink of an eye. “Did I stutter?” Colour drenched out of their faces immediately and murmurs began spreading around the hall slowly. “You heard him, let go!” Marn ordered and I was immediately released. Before I could think of running, Theodore placed a hand on my shoulder. My heart skipped atleast three beats. “Are you okay?” His voice was laced with concern as his eyes rested on me. I

  • The Alphas' Bodyguard Is A Girl   Bullied

Chapter 23Bullied/-Tediora-/I made sure not to let my panic show.“Why? Do you think I used one of them to beat you?” I asked and his eyes flamed red. “If you wanted one, all you had to do was ask, not steal.”“You bastard!” He barked, grabbing me by the collar. I remained unfazed, staring at him. Because playing nonchalant was the only way out of this. He shoved me against the lockers, “Don't think for a second that I am done with you. I will definitely get you one way or the other.” I pretended to wipe his spit off my face. “Can you say that without opening my mouth so wide? It's gross.” His fists moved and I was lucky to dodge it in an instant and he inevitable punched the wall. He released me immediately, wincing in pain as his knuckles bled.I could only imagine how painful that was. He was already healing, but it would take about a minute or two and those few minutes were pure hell for him. I would have been cooked if that punch met my face. I moved to my bed, ignoring hi
