The Trap

“No, Rhys,” I yelled, pushing him back as I continued what I had started.

Asher screamed as blood began to streak from his eyes, too, and his hands looked like they were about to pop off. A satisfied smirk graced my lips and Rhys flinched backwards.

“Tediora, please…” he whispered this time, and my hands tremble as I contemplate listening to him, but at the same time, I didn't want to.

Rhys touched my shoulder again, but his time, he tightened his hold and grabbed my waist, pulling me into him. My powers were getting the best of me and he could get hurt.

He could get hurt,

Rhys could get hurt.

It kept ringing in my head over and over that I dropped my hands, snapping me back from the brink.

My vision blurred as I staggered backwards, still in his arms as the anger dissipated a bit, bringing me back to reality.
