~Chapter-132~Deals with the devil.~

I get to my office before Jake and settle behind my desk. I will call Danny, but there is a bigger fish I have been trying to fry first. I had Darrell make an offer to Alpha George before we left New Moon. I had told Darrell not to call me with his response. I would call him when we got home. It was a good one, I thought. I would give him another million dollars, and my word, that I wouldn't destroy his pack in exchange for Bella's father.

The alternative wasn't going to be pleasant for either of us. I was trying to avoid it. I kinda like living in peace, and I couldn't leave my pack in the middle of a war. Neither could I dismiss the chance to right another wrong for my mate. I will do no less to save Author than I would if it were my father at the mercy of the devil.
