Everything was moving too fast and he knew he had to act fast.

He had known for the longest of times that she hadn't lost her memory and was okay with it.

Aubrey didn't know, but he had been long aware of the exact moment the two men had started looking for her…he had swayed them off trail for the longest of times.

What he didn't expect was for the appearance of these men to affect Aubrey the way it did, he had listened to her tears that night and held back from being the comfort that she needed.

Last time she had broken up with him from being too much but this time he would rather not be just her boyfriend…he wanted to marry her, and he had waited long enough to propose…he just needed the right time, and it never came.

Until now…

Patience was the key like it was said, but the reappearance of these men was going to ruin his place in Aubrey's life.

He knew way more than Aubrey thought he did.

His nonchalance has been the cost of his fiancé's death, and he wasn't g
