Ch.4- Lucian

I walk to my Alphas tent seeing as my fellow pack has already took ownership to the rest of the women we’ve captured. I hate the thought of these men hurting and taking ownership of these girls, but our village is having issues mating and children haven’t been conceived since my brother took over the pack 2 years ago. Since then our pack has to resort to this. It’s only a matter of time before neighboring packs declare war with us. The village is now a pile of ash. Smoke still carries high into the air. By the time the other packs around here wake from there beds we will already be heading back to our lands. My spoils of war is chained to my post and if her attempts at escape are better than I think I’ll hunt her down again. As one of the best hunters in our pack lands I knew some would be running into the woods. It seems her mother was a skilled tracker as well, but she was much too small to fight anyone and survive. After watching them from the stream I knew she was planning on leading me to her to let her daughter escape, but I knew there were others near by that would get to her. For some reason my wolf demanded I protect her and the thought of letting her go wrecks my insides. She’s much too young to be my mate. Walking into my brother Alpha Alexander’s tent, I see the girl he took and claimed as his tied to the bed her clothes are ripped away from her and she just lays there. Her eyes shift to me and I look away. “Ah my brother, how was the Forrest line anyone get away”? I bow my head and address my alpha. “No my Alpha. The border was secure and I managed to catch the ones fleeting.” I say my head still bowed. “Excellent, anyone of importance”? He asks. I look up at him. A mother and daughter, I explained. “The mother will be useful with house work in my home bring her to me,” he says as he walks over to the girl tied to his bed. She closes her eyes as he runs a finger down her body. He looks to me as I stand there, “sorry my Alpha but the mother was killed, she fought to save her daughter’s life and I ended hers.” Alpha Alexander hums. “What of the daughter?” He asks now poking and pushing on the girls skin that’s now purple and red from bruises. “I claimed her for my own”. He stops and looks up at me now as if just realizing I’m now here and we haven’t been talking for 3 minutes. He now sits up, “You’ve claimed her”? I give him a look I’m not repeating myself. “Yes”, is all I say to him. He gets up from the bed and walks toward me. I can see the girl now takes in breath as if she’s been holding it while he played with her. I look back to my brother and he stand in front of me. “Where was she when I was out looking through them.” He asks. “She was there chained to the post”. I inform him. He knows I know he saw her covered in mud and dirt and didn’t think twice about her. “Ah yes the dirty one”. “Well I think if she got my dear brother’s attention maybe I should take a look again see what’s under the grime”. I step closer to him, “you made your choice this one is mine.” I seethed. “Perhaps you forget your place. As alpha I have ruling over you.” He walks closer into my space eyes focused and daring me to make a move. Everyone thought I would challenge him to be Alpha of our pack, most would have followed me without question, but the promise I made to our father before his death stopped me and kept me under his rule. Leading to what our pack has become has made me want to forget my promise and everyday is a struggle but I hold on to the hope things will be better. The pull I feel with this girl whose mother I took away from her. Cannot be ignored and even though she is young and not able to show her wolf she still gives me the need to protect her. My wolf claws at me from inside to hold her and protect her even from my own brother. My brother snears at me but then smiles. “I’ll let her stay with you for the time being, if this one “. He points to the girl tied to the bed. “Keeps me satisfied I won’t need yours now will I”. I nod my head because well what else can I do right now. He waves his hand in dismissal and I turn to leave, just before I exit the tent. He bellows out, “ me giving you this gift comes with payment. You will be my enforcer and if I call you answer.” I walk out without saying a word. Brushing a hand down my face I head over to my tent outside of the others away from eyes and ears. I’ve always kept to myself and perhaps that’s why my brother has always questioned my allegiance. Feeling the dread of what he comes up with is nothing from knowing what he may do to her now that he knows I’ve claimed her to me. I wanted to try to help them I didn’t want to hurt them. Her mother lunged at me cause my wolf to react and slice at her. Not knowing the full power behind it. I was only following them to make she they had a clearer path. When I smelled the other warriors close by I shifted and she must of smelled me first. Once she ran from her mother I chased her to protect her. It’s all so messed up. Sighing I enter tent to see the girls small form slumped against the post arms above her head in an uncomfortable position. I lean over her and I clasp her arms and gently nudge her to my bed and wrap her in the blankets and attach the chain to my wrist and lock it in place. After which I slump on the floor next to the bed and close my eyes.
