27. Heat

There was something fascinating about him today. His scent was ten times better to me. Instead of the usual woodsy scent, I smelled strawberries and vanilla also.

He made appearance when I thought everything was falling apart. He gave me a tinge of hope which my body missed. Just him, Killian—my second chance mate who I always shut out. I remembered never giving him to chance to break my walls. Perhaps, it wasn’t because I was afraid. Maybe I had been too broken to be fixed.

The second he began taking ferocious steps towards me, my heart stopped. The fact that he was present made me so surprised. It all something I never could expect happen in a nick of time. All those while I sobbed on the hospital bed he laid on, he didn’t even for once bulge. Thus, I wondered what was it exactly that made him wake up.
