Chapter 6

The moment Sebastian's words rang out, the living room descended into silence.

Not a single sound could be heard.

Rosalie jumped to her feet. Blushing hard, she stared wide-eyed at Sebastian.

She could not believe he had the audacity to ask Levi to get on his knees and beg.

Levi's expression was unpleasant as well.

But, his hesitation only lasted for a brief moment before he fell to his knees and pleaded with utmost sincerity, "Please save my father, Dr. Ballard."

Sebastian set down his cup and remarked, "As expected of you, Mr. Griffin. You know when to yield. I'll do it. You may rise."

He started walking toward the bedroom.

Levi got back on his feet.

Rosalie hurried over to him and asked, "Dad, you just—"

Levi cut her off and said, "Don't say anything more. I was wrong earlier. It was only right for me to kneel."

Then, his eyes flashed menacingly as he continued, "However, if he fails to do what he claims he can do, I'll make him pay!"

Although Sebastian was further up, he seemed to be aware of what Levi was saying. Smirking to himself, he approached the bedroom.

Just before entering the bedroom, he turned around and said, "Don't forget about the other thing, Mr. Griffin. If I manage to treat your father, you'll need to give me your daughter's hand in marriage."

Levi was startled, while Rosalie blushed bashfully.

Inside the bedroom, Jonah was pacing back and forth. His head was covered in sweat.

When Sebastian came in, Jonah looked at the former as if he were a life savior. He was just about to speak when Sebastian held his hand up and said, "Do you have any more needles?"

"I do." Jonah froze for a second before quickly retrieving a box of unused needles from his medical bag.

Sebastian took the needles. Then, he instructed Levi to feed the Goldcrow pill to Oliver.

The moment Levi took the pill out of the wooden box, a soothing herbal scent filled the room.

Jonah was stunned. He stared at the black pill and exclaimed, "I never knew such a wondrous medicine existed! I've been so ignorant …"

From the scent alone, Jonah could tell that the pill was an extraordinary one!

Levi was still hesitant, but Jonah said, "Mr. Griffin, you should feed it to Mr. Griffin Senior. I'm afraid this young man really is a remarkable doctor."

Upon hearing that, Levi swiftly fed the Goldcrow pill to Oliver.

Sebastian then started sticking needles into Oliver. With every needle he placed, some of his inner energy would be channeled into Oliver's body.

While others might not be aware of what was happening, Jonah saw it clearly.

He exclaimed, "The energy-guiding technique? I never thought I would have the honor of witnessing this technique in action …"

Jonah was thunderstruck. He was transfixed by Sebastian's acupuncture technique.

Moments later, Sebastian waved his hand, and the dozens of needles stuck in Oliver flew out as if they had been drawn up by a magnet. They landed back inside their box.

"It's done. In less than five minutes, Mr. Griffin Senior will regain consciousness," Sebastian exhaled and said as he wiped the sweat off his forehead.

By combining the Goldcrow pill with Sebastian's acupuncture technique, Oliver would make a full recovery from his chronic illness.

As soon as Sebastian got up, Jonah fell to his knees.

Levi and Rosalie were shocked.

"What are you doing, Dr. Pike?" Levi asked in confusion.

Jonah exclaimed, "Mr. Griffin, what Dr. Ballard used just now was the soul revival technique which can even save someone who is on their deathbed! That, combined with the Goldcrow pill, is enough to ensure that Mr. Griffin Senior recovers completely."

"Is it truly that remarkable? How does his skills compare to yours?" Levi asked.

"I'm not even worthy to shine his shoes for him!" Jonah replied.

Refusing to get back up, Jonah bowed and said, "I was blind and said things I shouldn't have. I have finally met a true expert. Please let me be your student, Dr. Ballard!"
