Discovery

Both mom and dad breathing hard and fast like a sprinter after a long-mile race. Yeah! This was the act that caused my existence, though mom thought this to be a mistake, I still thanked God for that day, cause it was the day that I was conceived. Mom now faced up looking at the twinkling stars, she now regretted her actions, mom was not as erratic as you think, it's almost impossible to resist the sexual advancements of my kind. 'Regrets are like hens, they have come home to roost.' She became ashamed of herself, she can't believe what she had done, and she wished she can undo her action, she just had unprotected sex with a total stranger. 'Matthew, see what you have caused, see what you made me do.' She said in her mind. All of a sudden the sea started rumbling again, causing a wash on the shore.

 "I'm needed back home, beautiful land walker... Sorry! Jennifer." 

Dad said jumping up, he walked towards the sea butt naked.

 "Enough of this joke, it's no longer funny."

 She said as she sat up to put on her messed-up pant. But then, dad turns around, walks to her and says: 

"Though the sand may be washed by the sea, and the old will be lost in the new, what you and I had tonight will forever remain in my cold heart." 

He said this and advanced to the sea.

 "Hey! Are u planning to commit suicide? It's too early to swim the sea, common please stop this!" 

She said looking so terrified as she realized he wasn't kidding about entering the sea.

 "I've got no plan for suicide, not after tonight. I'm needed at home, wish I could stay longer, but you know how it is, my subjects need me." 

So he said before he ran towards the rocky part of the beach, he climbed up the cliff and dove into the raging sea.

" No! No! Nooooo....... Come out, please... Stop this... Please... I beg you with God's name, please stop this." 

Mom cried as she picked up her shirt from the floor, and quickly she wore it as she ran towards the raging sea crying.

"Stranger! Stranger come out... You bastard! Come out right now." 

She cried and coursed, but dad never swam out. At that moment she became very terrified, many strange thoughts ran through her mind 'the wave might have taken him, or even worse... He had been abducted by the mermaids, the real mermaids.' She said to herself. Just after a few minutes, she saw an acrobatic display like that of a dolphin, but to her greatest surprise, it was not a dolphin, it was dad, the stranger with whom she just had a nightstand, only that from the waist down was a fishtail.

 "No! No... This cannot be happening."

 She wiped her eyes to see clearer as she slowly moved, he sprang up yet again, and this time the picture became even clearer, she now saw him for what he truly was, a merman. That was when she realized the mess she made with herself. At that moment she turns and ran away screaming like a dying lamb
