“What are you guys?”

I gasped out even though it was pretty clear what they were.

Men.

Two men.

Both of them are clearly my mates going by how excited my wolf was right now.

The only thing is that it made no sense to me that I have two mates.

I can’t have any mates when my mate just ended our relationship after ten years.

It has not even been up to a day yet.

This must be some kind of joke.

I know there’s a thing called a second chance mate but I don’t believe in that.

If the first mate the moon goddess gave me turned against me, then how do I believe that these two won’t do the same?

Also, why would both of them be my mate in the first place?

“You are awake.”

That voice.

Holy hell.

The first man spoke and his voice literally stole my breath away.

His voice was deep yet melodic. It traveled through my body like a shiver.

I took a chance to really look at them.

The men were ridiculously tall. Around six two, I am guessing.

They looked unlike any men I have ever seen.

They both looked too good to be real.

Two broad-shouldered, ruggedly handsome, dark-haired men.

Maybe I hit my head when I fainted yesterday and now I am seeing things.

“I am glad you are finally awake. You have been out of it for days, and we were beginning to worry about you.”

The second man’s voice was just as melodious as the first and for a moment, his voice distracted me from what he said.

Not for long because my brain processed his words and my eyes widened.

“Days? I have been out of it for days?”

I let out.

“Yes, this is day five.”

“Five days? I was sleeping for five days?”

I couldn’t believe it.

It made no sense that I would be asleep for five days.

I looked around even though I was already sure this wasn’t a healing center.

If I were out of it for five whole days, why didn’t they take me to the healing center?

Surely they would have thought of that right?

“We were worried.”

The first man spoke.

“Clearly not worried enough if I am here instead of a healing center! Did you guys want me to die or something?”

I scolded them.

They looked at each other and back at me.

“We brought a healer here and they said you were okay! They said to just let you rest.”

Five days.

“Who are you anyway?”

I asked them and they both smiled.

I noticed a cute dimple on the second man’s right cheek.

“My name is Alpha Axel and this is my beta Rhys.”

Great.

Another alpha.

His beta too.

This is crazy.

I think I am going crazy.

“How did I end up with you both anyway and what did you do while I slept for five days?”

I asked them even though I still couldn’t believe I slept for five straight days.

“You didn’t sleep every day for those five days. You woke up sometimes and just went right back to sleep.”

The beta said.

Now I know they are lying because I have no memory of waking up.

The last thing I remembered was collapsing on the street.

“You both are lying! Do you think I am stupid?”

I let out in anger.

How dare they try to deceive me? Are they trying to make me feel more thankful towards them for saving and keeping me with them for five days?

“Eve, we are not lying.”

The alpha said and it shocked me that they already knew my name.

“How do you know my name?

I let out.

Instead of answering my question, he walked to the table and dropped a package.

Food.

The sight of food made my stomach rumble.

I held my stomach as my mouth watered.

When was the last time I ate?

Since yesterday? Five days ago?

I don’t know, I just know I am very hungry.

Too hungry to continue our conversation.

“I assume that’s for me?”

I asked and they both nodded.

Without saying anything else, I sat down and unpacked the food.

I started eating immediately and didn’t stop until I filled my stomach.

I finally looked at them again when I felt full.

They were both watching me closely.

I suddenly started to feel shy about the way they were watching me.

Mate!

They say in unison.

I don’t hear any of their other thoughts except when they both call me their mate.

I don’t address them about it either because it made no sense.

If it were one of them, it would have made sense even though it would be too soon to have a second chance mate.

It’s both of them.

No.

Just no.

I don’t need another man in my life not to talk of two.

From here onward, it’s going to be just me.

I don’t need anyone.

I am going to build my empire on my own and take all the glory.

I refuse to let another man or men into my life, give everything, and end up on the street with nothing.

“Thank you guys for the food and for the past five days.”

I felt proud of how my voice sounded,

“But.”

Both men sat upright when I said the word.

“This is where we part ways. I am awake now and I would like to continue without you both.”

They looked at each other and back at me.

“You need us.”

The alpha said.

“No. I don’t need you both.”

I told them.

“You need us. You told us yourself that you need us.”

I don’t remember telling them that.

“I don’t remember any of that and it doesn’t matter what I said when I was out of it. I want you both to leave.”

I told them.

“First of all, we can’t leave. This is a hotel and if we are leaving then you are coming with us. You have nowhere to go.”

They know too much about me.

Too many details that I don’t remember telling them.

“Just how much do you know about me?”

I asked both of them.

“We know your name and that you don’t have anyone or anywhere to go.”

Axel, the alpha said.

“Also, that you are our mate.”

Rhys added to which Axel nodded.

“Are both of you out of your minds? I am not your mate! There are two of you and there’s only one of me!”

I pointed out.

They looked at each other before looking back at me.

“It doesn’t matter. We are used to sharing.”

I blinked in shock at Axel’s words.

Okay, it wasn’t just a shock. A shiver of excitement actually ran through my body at the thought of being shared by the two most gorgeous men I have ever seen.

Imagine being sandwiched between the two of them.

Imagine the two of them giving me pleasure.

I shook the nasty thoughts out of my head and focused on reality.

“I don’t care if you both share everything. You can’t share me! Besides, I can’t be your mate! I already have a mate.”

They both looked shocked and hurt when I said that.

The thought of sharing me between the two of them didn’t sound crazy to them but me telling them I have another mate makes them jealous?

Make that make sense.

“Don’t look at me like that. He was my mate for ten freaking years and he dumb me yesterday- oh wait, make that five days ago.”

Now they looked worried about me.

I stood up.

“Don’t.”

I let out when they both stood up too.

“I am going to leave. Don’t follow me.”

I told them as I started to walk away and that’s when I realized what I was wearing.

Why didn’t I notice before?

I was wearing a robe. Must be the hotel robe.

Then I realized something else.

I was naked underneath the robe. I turned back to them.

“Who the fuck striped me?”

They both looked guilty. My mind went over what they told me.

Five days.

I was with them for five days and now I am naked.

Did they?

“Did you guys touch me?”

I couldn’t believe I was asking that question but I needed to know. Their guilty look gave me the answer I needed.

I didn’t wait, I charged at the first guy and punched him hard before he could process what just happened, I turned to the other guy and punched him too.

How dare they?

How dare they touch me without my consent?
