“Wake up.”

The voice of my wolf woke me up and I sat up immediately.

I looked around the room I was in trying to figure out where I was and how I got here.

The last thing I remembered was fainting on the street.

Fainting.

I thought that stopped a long time ago.

I haven’t fainted in years.

Not since I gave up my powers to Knox which helped him conquer most of his rivals.

Yes, I had powers and when Knox and I became mates, I gave it all up for him.

I didn’t stop there, I helped him every step of the way and he paid me back by demoting and banishing me from the pack we built together.

The ache in my heart increased when I remembered everything that happened yesterday.

If the time on the clock was correct then I slept for the past twelve hours which means everything happened yesterday.

I still couldn’t remember how I got into the room I was in.

I got out of bed and looked around but there was no one with me and no sign that anyone had been with me.

As I made my way back to the bed, I didn’t look well and ended up hitting my leg against a chair.

“Ahhragghhh…”

I cried out in pain as I squatted and grabbed my aching big toe which got the most hits.

I covered it with my hands as tears welled up in my eyes again.

“What the fuck?”

I let out when I saw something that I hadn’t seen in years.

Not since I gave up my powers.

At first, I thought I was imagining it but then I stood up and suddenly, my leg that was hurting so much just a minute ago, stopped hurting.

I checked and it was as if I never hit my leg against the table.

“Does this mean?”

I let out as I rushed to the restroom and pulled my shirt to the side.

I gasped when I saw what I went to look for.

“It’s back.”

I let out in total disbelief.

It came back.

My powers came back.

That has to be why the star mark in my right boob is back.

I had it from birth and found out after I got my wolf that I am special and I have powers.

Then I found out that I could give my powers to my fated mate and that’s why when I met Knox about six months after I found out, I didn’t hesitate to give him my powers.

My parents had been pissed.

My pack alpha had asked me to take it back from him but I told them all no and because of that I was banished from the pack.

I didn’t mind.

Knox told me we would build a life together and I happily accepted him and chose him over everyone else.

Ten years later, we managed to achieve everything but he tossed me aside for a freshly nineteen years old and now, my powers are back to me.

“My powers are back.”

I let out and for the first time since Knox broke the news of his betrayal to me, I felt a little joy.

I didn’t even know I could get it back.

I didn’t even think of asking for it back after the way he treated me.

I just left because I didn’t want to fight him or humiliate myself.

Clearly, the moon goddess picked a side and it’s my side.

That’s the only way to explain this.

I touched my star mark and closed my eyes.

I thought of what I wanted to see and gasped when I saw flashes of Knox.

I swallowed and held myself as I watched him from my vision.

He wasn’t alone.

Iris.

They were together. In bed.

They were making love in bed.

In the bed I used to share with Knox.

The visions were so clear. It made me realize that everything was real.

He really picked a new mate and tossed me aside.

I didn’t stay long in the vision.

I couldn’t stay and watch the man I dedicated ten years of my life to make love with another woman.

A woman who was the same age I was when Knox found me and declared that I am his mate.

He had been the cool five-year-old man who swept me off my feet and showed me just how good it could be between us.

“Eve, stop it!”

I cautioned myself.

I expected my wolf to be hurt that our mate rejected us after ten years together but she seemed to have healed fast.

Yesterday, she had been in a bad mood but it seems she wasn’t as in love with Knox as I had been.

My heart still ached so badly but not as much as it would have if my wolf had been heartbroken too.

“Why aren’t you heartbroken?”

I whispered.

“You will find out soon.”

I blinked in confusion.

I couldn’t remember anything from after I blacked out but I think something exciting happened for her to be in such a good mood.

Anyway, I pushed her to the side and focused on trying out my powers.

“I got it all back!”

I let out ten minutes later.

I could see visions again, I could heal myself and I am sure I can heal others again.

Mind reading. I needed to see someone and touch the back of their head to be sure if I could still read minds.

“If I have my powers back does that mean?”

I let out as a smile crawled onto my face.

If I have my powers back that means Knox has lost his powers and without the powers, there’s only so much he could do.

He used my healing powers to draw a lot of members to the pack.

Used my mind-reading powers to win a lot of partnerships that made the pack rich.

If he doesn’t have the powers anymore that means he would soon come crawling back.

“He better not!”

My wolf sneaked out to say.

I pushed her away and stared at my reflection in the mirror.

Would he really come back for me when he finds out that his powers are gone?

How would I react if he does come back?

I want to be bold and say that I would curse at him but I love him.

Yes, he hurt and betrayed me but I have loved him for ten years.

How can I just stop loving him?

I am not strong enough to resist him if he comes back.

Maybe I am stupid.

I closed my eyes again and went back into the vision of Knox and he was still in bed with Iris.

Seeing them fucking and making out broke my heart.

This time, I didn’t end the vision.

I watched and listened.

I needed to see for myself and let myself know that this man doesn’t care about me.

If he ever comes back, I would be a fool to take him.

I imprinted the memories of him with Iris in my mind and when I opened my eyes again, I felt less heartbroken and more determined to show him what he lost and won’t ever get back.

“I have my powers! I can do everything I want.”

I told myself.

All the things that he used to do because of the powers I gave him, I could do it too.

A pack?

That’s nothing.

“I can make my own pack.”

I told myself.

“I can take back everything that he took from me!”

That’s even better.

Once the pack realizes that he can no longer do the things that made him alpha, they will want to replace him.

What better way to get revenge than to take over from him and watch him crumble?

“I am going to take it all back! Everything.”

I told myself.

Saying the words out loud made me more determined to take everything back.

They were obtained with my powers so they all belong to me.

I gasped when I heard sounds.

I quickly fixed my shirt and rushed out of the restroom.

Even though I heard the voices closely, I just assumed it was because I got my hyper hearing ability back.

But when I walked back into the room, I was shocked when I found not one but two men in the room.

Two of the most gorgeous men I have ever seen in my life.

Mate!

My wolf screamed from within which confused me because one, there were two of them and two, I already have a mate.

Mate!

I gasped when I heard both of their thoughts.
