“What significance does the plant hold?” Myla asked curiously.

Tiana laughed; her laughter was a precious sound. “Noah mindlessly bought it from some garden last week. Chris is just out to get any woman that Noah interacts with in any way.”

The tour was quite the adventure, and Tiana was like a ray of sunshine, brightening Myla’s entire afternoon with her gentle and captivating words. Myla discovered that they were twins, and surprisingly, Tiana was the older one, beating Chris by a whole hour. Both twins were nine years old.

Myla couldn’t help but smile, albeit bittersweetly. At the age of nine, she had been going through a lot.

Back in the living room, Chris seemed to be in a bit of a mood, engrossed in watching an anime on the large screen, although he was fuming. Myla squinted at the show. It was “Attack on Titan,” too intense for a nine-year-old; no wonder he had had a foul mouth.
