Aurora’s POV

The cafeteria didn’t sound like a cafeteria anymore. It sounded like a forest on fire. Chairs clattered. Trays slammed.

Someone screamed my name—maybe Ember, maybe not—and the noise bent around a lower, uglier sound that didn’t belong in a school at all: a growl, rolling and wet, like thunder caught in a throat.

I shoved through the doors and stopped hard.

Tables were overturned like fallen trees. Food smeared the floor—ketchup like blood, milk like spilt moonlight.

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    It had just began

Aurora's POVA cold wind sliced through the courtyard, bending the trees at the edges of the ward lines. The torches hissed and shrank. The night itself seemed to pull inward, as if the world held its breath.Morana did not step into the light. She bent it instead.Shadows elongated across the stone, snaking toward us, slow and patient — like predators deciding where to sink their teeth.Rowan’s stance changed. His body angled slightly in front of mine without blocking me — protection without erasure. Zander remained close to my right, his hand brushing my back, grounding and fierce. The Shadow Fangs tightened formation.Ember slipped closer, Liam at her side, both ready — fear in her eyes, determination in her spine. The bond hummed.Alert.Focused.Waiting.Then Morana’s voice filled the courtyard — soft, ancient, threaded with something like disappointment.“Look at you,” she murmured.“Not hidden. Not shielded. Not folded away like a frightened girl. You stand in the open — spine

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    That Didn’t Take Long

Aurora’s POVThe quiet didn’t last.It never does before a storm.A low thrum rolled through the wards — not a spike, not an attack — a knock. Deliberate. Testing. My breath caught as the air sharpened like glass.Rowan’s head snapped toward the window. Zander straightened instantly, the playful edge from earlier gone.“She’s close,” Rowan murmured.“Not inside the barriers,” Zander said. “But she wants us to know she’s watching.”The bond vibrated — not weak, not unstable — alerted. My pulse synced to it, steady but fierce.“She’s trying to make you react,” Rowan said, voice low. “Trying to make one of us move too far from the anchor.”A flash of defiance surged in my chest.“Then we don’t move wrong,” I said. “We move together.”Zander’s mouth curved — not a smirk — something sharper.“That’s my girl.”I swallowed but didn’t look away. The knocking energy faded. Then—A scream tore through the night. Not distant. Not random.Inside the grounds.Rowan was already moving toward the do

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    The Decision is Final

Aurora’s POVThe room changed the moment the decision settled. Not lighter.Sharper.It was like the air itself had pulled taut—every sound clearer, every breath louder. The candles along the walls flickered, reacting to something deeper than a draft. The bond hummed low in my chest, not frantic, not panicked—attentive. Like it was waiting to see what we would do next.Rowan straightened first. Not as an Alpha guarding territory. But as a commander reassessing a battlefield that had just shifted under his feet.Zander rolled his shoulders, the way he always did before a fight—only this time the tension didn’t feel reckless. It recalibrated. Changed direction. His posture went from shield her at all costs to stand with her no matter what. They weren’t fighting me anymore. They were thinking with me.That realization hit harder than anything else.“Alright,” Zander said finally, dragging a hand down his face before exhaling through his teeth. “If you’re staying—” He paused, eyes locking

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 115: Embers Embrace

Auroras POV“I’m not leaving,” I said again.Rowan stood at the far side of the table, hands braced against the wood, shoulders squared like he was holding back an earthquake.Zander was closer to me, but I felt the tension in him all the same—tight, coiled, dangerous. This wasn’t about strategy anymore. This was about who we were going to be.“Aurora,” Rowan said carefully, his voice low and steady in that Alpha way that usually grounded everyone in the room, “listen to me.Morana isn’t hunting blindly. She’s thinking. She’s waiting for the moment she can fracture us.”I stepped closer. Close enough that he had no choice but to look at me.“She already tried,” I said quietly. “And it didn’t work.”Zander let out a sharp breath. “You felt that separation differently because of your heat. That doesn’t mean—”“It means everything,” I cut in, my voice rising. “It means she was counting on me to break.”The bond pulsed—warm, fierce, alive.Rowan’s jaw tightened. “We’re not saying you’re w

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 114: I Will Not Be Left Behind

Aurora’s POVThey thought they were being careful.I realized that the moment the room went quiet when I entered.Maps rolled halfway closed. Voices cut off mid-sentence. Rowan straightened too quickly. Zander’s jaw tightened in that way it always did when he was already preparing to argue.I didn’t ask what they were planning.I already knew.“You’re doing it again,” I said quietly.Rowan turned first. “Aurora—”“—don’t,” I interrupted, my voice calm but unyielding. “Don’t soften it. Don’t lie to me. You were planning to move me.”Zander rubbed a hand over his mouth. “We were planning to keep you safe.”The bond stirred—not angry, not panicked.Steady.Anchored.“I am safe,” I said. “Standing here. With you.”Rowan stepped toward me, concern etched deep into his expression. “Morana isn’t circling anymore. She’s positioning. If she strikes, she’ll aim for leverage.”“And you think I’m leverage,” I said.Silence answered. That hurt more than I expected—but it didn’t weaken me.It clari

  • The Awakening Of The Hybrid Luna    Chapter 113: Finding A Way

Aurora’s POVMy heart and body didn’t calm right away.Even after Zander came back—after the relief, the clinging, the way my body finally stopped shaking—there was still an echo. A faint tremor beneath everything, like the ground after an earthquake.Rowan noticed it first. He always did.“You’re still holding tension,” he said quietly, his hand resting flat between my shoulder blades.“I don’t know how not to,” I admitted. “It’s like I’m waiting for it to hurt again.”Zander sat across from me, elbows on his knees, watching me with that intense focus he got when something mattered too much. “Rory… when I stepped out there, you didn’t just feel the bond stretch.”I looked up. “What do you mean?”“You pulled on it,” he said gently. “Hard.”Rowan’s brows knit together. “I felt that too. Like you were trying to drag him back through it.”Heat crept up my neck. “I wasn’t trying to. I just—panic hit and my body reacted.”Rowan exchanged a look with Zander. Not alarmed.Curious.“Can you f
