Chapter Forty-four: My heat on my WEDDING DAY?
The next morning, I felt the sun beating down on my face, awakening me underneath its furnace like a grip on me making my pores leak water that stuck to me like old gum to a shoe. I could not stand my sweating any longer, I raced into the shower that I had set to iceberg cold.
