Stacy Simmons woke up early Monday morning for school. It was a warm spring day in April. She was super excited because she had just landed her first babysitting job the day before. Stacy turned 15 this month and wanted to save for her first car. Her parents had told her on her birthday a week prior that they would match whatever she saved for her 16th birthday the following year. Stacy was 5 foot 6 inches tall, slim with what she thought was an ok figure. She had long auburn hair that she wore to her waste with soft curls and big green eyes just like her mother.

Stacy quickly got ready for school and ran down stairs to the breakfast table. Her parents Marc and Sylvia were already seated and eating when Stacy ran in to join them. Stacy walked by her kid brother Matt and tasseled his soft blonde locks. Matt grimaced and squealed at Stacy “ Stop doing that! I’m not a little kid anymore”. Stacy giggled Matt you are 10 years old. Matt rolled his eyes Aaron his sister “ I’m in the double digits now”.

Sylvia spoke up and told her children to settle down and finish breakfast. Stacy sat down and gulped her juice down before reminding her parents, “Mom, Dad don’t forget I have my first babysitting job tonight for the McKenzie’s a block over so I will be late coming home tonight. Sylvia’s face instantly became worried as she thought about the recent events that had been happening in a town not far from them. Sylvia looked at Stacy with worry in her eyes “I really wish you would do something besides babysitting. It just isn’t safe right now with the murders that have happened in the last 6 months. “Oh Mom” Stacy huffed “Stop exaggerating about that”. Everyone at school says those were fake and never happened”. Sylvia frowned “ Your friends do not know the details like I do”. “Everyone of those girls were babysitting when they were attacked and the police still don’t know who killed them”. “The newsman said this morning that there are not any leads and very few clues to follow”. “This evil person is like a ghost and know one knows how they can be stopped. Matt looked up from his morning paper, Sylvia stop scaring the girl”. “We we’re the ones that said she could get a job and she did, so how can we stop her”. “Besides, she’s only going to be a block away. The McKenzies have a security system, surveillance cameras and a telephone, Stacy will be perfectly safe”. She also has her own cell phone and can call us if she needs us. Sylvia signed knowing she wasn’t going to get anywhere with these two and proclaimed“ I still don’t like it but I guess you’re right”. Matt feigned shock while laughing and grabbed his chest “Stacy quick get a recording of this momentous occasion, your mom said I’m right about something”. Sylvia playfully slapped her husband on the back while swearing “I will get you back for that”.

Stacy smiled at her parents playful behavior and daydreamed about the time she could drive to school instead of walking. Stacy jumped up and kissed both her parents on the cheek and ruffled Matt’s hair again before dashing out the door to head to school.

Stacy was a Freshman at Morgansville High School. The school was named after the small town Stacy lived in in Morgansville Georgia. Stacy was a good student who worked hard for good grades. Her teachers were all partial to Stacy as she never caused trouble and always worked hard in class. Stacy met up with her best friend Sandra Blaine on her walk to school. Sandra had lived next door to Stacy their whole lives and walked to and from school together everyday. Sandra was a petite brunette with big brown eyes and a dazzling smile. Sandra was not as shy as Stacy and exclaimed loudly “I can’t believe you are babysitting tonight. Aren’t you scared? My mom said the wacko targeting babysitters is still on the loose! Stacy sighed “No” she said quietly I’m not scared and there is no wacko on the loose. Everyone is saying it’s a hoax anyway and no one was really killed. Sandra shook her head excitedly Uh uh those girls in Huntersville really died. My dad knows one of the families. Well regardless Stacy retorted that was two towns away and nothing has happened in Morgansville so why should I be scared? Stacy laughed as she exclaimed I have to earn as much money as I can in the next year so we can ride to school in style.

Stacy and Sandra arrived at school and parted ways as they went to their classes. Stacy walked into her home room class oblivious to the fact that in the shadows watching her walk to school was a lone figure with an old grey hoodie that had seen better days. He had listened to the young girls talk about the babysitter stalker and thought to himself just how wrong young Stacy was. He had laid low for awhile since the last time, but it would seem that is was time for another appearance.

Morgansville was about to become famous.

Stacy flopped down at the kitchen table for a snack. She slowly ate her cookies willing time to go faster so she could leave for The Mackenzie’s house. Stacy was so nervous and hoped that the the kiddos liked her. Stacy’s biggest concern was that she would do something wrong and not be asked to babysit again. Stacy was lost in thought when her mother walked in the door carrying groceries. Stacy jumped up from her seat at the table, “Mom let me help”. Stacy scooped a bag out of her mothers arms and walked back to the kitchen to unload them. “Thank you dear” Sylvia smiled. “Would you like to help with dinner”? Stacy exhaled slowly “mom I am babysitting tonight remember”? Sylvia did remember but was still hoping for a way to talk her daughter out of it. “Stacy I really wish you would reconsider”. “Now I’m not going back on my word” Sylvia rushed before Stacy could interrupt her. “ I’m just worried about the unsolved murders”. You are my only daughter

Stacy school Monday happier than she has ever been. She talked non stop to Sandra about her first job that evening. Sandra teased Stacy about what kind of car she wanted. Stacy had her heart set on a Toyota 4 Runner or mom car and Sandra called it. Sandra’s eyes lit up “Stacy! Think of all the cute boys we can ride around with when you get your car”. Stacy’s face turned bright red and she shyly ducked her head. Sandra exclaimed “I know what that look means she giggled. You are thinking about Josh again aren’t you”? Josh Benson was a football player and way out of Stacy’s league. Everyone in school had a crush on him and he knew it. Josh was tall and blonde with serious big blue eyes that any girl could get lost in. Even though Josh was popular, he was nice to everyone and always talked to Stacy and Sandra when they saw him. He wasn’t stuck on himself like some of the other boys were. Stacy chided’ “ Sandra stop! You know I could never have a chance

Trigger warning ahead The 4 year old boy sat in the floor crying because his mommy wasn’t coming home. Daddy told him mommy went away and was never coming back. The little boy didn’t understand why mommy would leave as he was too young to understand his mom had been murdered. Daddy was mean now and would yell at the little boy all the time. The little boy missed his mommy and wanted her to come home. She loved him and Daddy didn’t. Daddy would not give hugs like mommy did. Daddy didn’t give him good food like Mommy did. Daddy just gave him pieces of bread with nothing on them all the time. The little boy would cry because he was hungry and his stomach hurt a lot. When he cried Daddy would get madder and would stick him in his room and lock the door. The little boy learned not to cry so much. He would bite the inside of his cheek to keep from crying out loud so daddy wouldn’t leave him in his room. The little boy learned that when he was locked in his room he didn’t even get bread.

Stacy woke up late on Saturday since it wasn’t a school day and went down stairs in time for lunch. Sylvia had made chicken salad and homemade croissants. Stacy’s stomach rumbled with hunger as she piled her plate full and happily ate her lunch. Marc asked Stacy if she had any plans and Stacy filled him in on visiting the families her friend Kim had told her about. Sylvia looked at her daughter worriedly, Stacy I don’t know if babysitting is such a good idea. You heard what happened over in Huntersville. Stacy shrugged indifferently, Mom come on do you really believe all that happened? Sylvia nodded with a serious look on her face. Marc spoke up and told Sylvia not to worry Morgansville was safe and Stacy would be fine. Stacy looked at her dad gratefully, Mom I will be fine. Nothing is gonna happen while I’m babysitting. Besides I may not even get the job so you could be worrying for nothing. Sylvia forced a smile but her gut was telling her not to let Stacy babysit. Stacy finish

  • The Babysitter Stalker    Cole didn’t do it.

Cole was running late to see Saha at the Ramsey house and was driving fast to get there. He had phoned Sasha to let her know he was on his way but she didn’t pick up. That wasn’t unusual though when she was babysitting as she could be busy with Cleo or cleaning up. Cole finally arrived about 20 minutes late and approached the door. He didn’t want to wake Cleo up by ringing the doorbell so instead he reached up above the door and took the spare key that was hidden and let himself in. He has done this many times in the past so it wasn’t a big deal he thought. He never expected to walk himself into trouble. Cole walked into the living room but didn’t see Sasha anywhere. He softly called her name and tiptoed to Cleo’s room to see if Sasha was there. Cole saw Cleo fast asleep and turned around to head back and look for Sasha. It wasn’t like her not to have greeted him already. Cole was starting to worry when he saw the light on in the kitchen. Sasha must be in there and didn’t hear me h
