80|light in the end

The cold morning breeze nipped my skin, triggering goosebumps that swam all over my exposed flesh. I drew the shawl against my semi-naked body, in an attempt to generate some heat and hopefully snuff out the cold.

The golden specks of the rising sun bathed my skin, replacing the cold with warmth. A smile curved on my lips as I watched the yellow ball of energy emerge beyond the horizon, splashing its rays on the azure ocean waters. It was the most magnificent view.

We arrived at a beach house which was one of Jake's private properties. He mentioned it would be a good idea to lay low for a while together with my father and I agreed.

Fresh morning air seeped through my nose, gushing into my lungs as I took a deep breath. Melodious chirps of birds and insects caressed my ears, soothing my soul.
