42. The Agreement

Zayn was awakened the next morning by the powerful scent that beclouded his smell. It was Allegra's gardenia scent, as ever overpowering and--

"I can see you're awake?" A feminine voice sounded not far and he sprang immediately to a seating position exposing the hairs on his broad chest. He recognized the voice instantly as that of Allegra's.

Zayn lifted his eyes to see her leaning against the doorpost with her eyes fixed on his chest, she wasn't even hiding it. What did she want now?

He could recall what happened the previous night after the deal between them. She introduced him to a room where he would pass the night and they would discuss better the next day.

He wondered if she always had this part of her or if it was because she found her way to get him to accept her rejection. Whatever it was, her intentions about not wanting him were clear now.

Finding out that he was the prince of a powerful kingdom did not change her mind but instead twist it. She still wanted the rejection
