The forbidden forest was unlike any place Maren had ever entered. Its trees were ancient, towering like sentinels, their trunks gnarled and blackened with time. Mist hung low and thick, curling around their feet like curious spirits. No birdsong. No wind. Just the constant hush of things watching.

Jace walked ahead, torch held high. Its flame flickered oddly — not because of wind, but something else. As if the very air resisted light.

“How much farther?” Maren whispered, her voice swallowed by the gloom.

“Another mile,” he said. “If the maps are right.”

Maren glanced around, unease prickling down her spine. “And if they’re not?”

“Then we die in here like everyone else who’s ever tried.”

He said it with no trace of fear. That worried her more.

  • The Banished Mate: Awakening The Silver Wolf   Truth In The Moon Light

Moonlight shone through the tall windows of Damian’s study, casting long shadows across the floor. His desk was a mess—papers everywhere, maps marked with red lines, and reports filled with every bit of gossip and news about the Crescent Moon pack.Damian leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. His mind was full of everything he had discovered.Ella… she wasn’t the traitor. She was the victim. It had taken weeks of digging—paying off spies, questioning prisoners, and putting together the truth piece by piece. And all the signs pointed to one person: Lila. She had planned it all. The lies. The poison. The betrayal. She had used Kaden and destroyed Ella’s life because she was jealous and greedy.Damian slammed his fist on the desk. The wood groaned under the force. His power flared in the air around him, thick with rage. How could he have been so blind? How could Kaden? That Weak fool!.Just then, the door creaked open.Ella walked in quietly. Her presence was gentle, her aura ca

Jace reached for his dagger. Maren’s breath caught in her throat.A soft, steady rhythm.Too heavy for a rat. Too slow for a patrol. Her name tasted like heaven on his lips, his wolf growling possessively as she stopped before him, her head tilted, her eyes warm. “Thank you... for letting me stay here... for giving me a chance...”His chest tightened, his heart pounding as he fought the urge to touch her, to hold her, to never let her go. “You’re part of this pack now... no one will ever hurt you again.”Her eyes softened, her lips curving into a gentle smile, her body relaxing as she looked up at him. “I... I feel safe here... with you...”Damian’s breath caught, his heart racing as her words wrapped around him, filling him with warmth, with hope, with a longing he couldn’t deny.Mate... his wolf growled, his body trembling with desire, his instincts roaring to claim her, to protect her, to love her.But before he could say anything, a shout echoed across the clearing, breaking the sp

A figure stepped inside. Not Lila. But someone worse.Beta Cavan.Cold-eyed. Loyal. Brutal. His gaze landed on her like a dagger.“What are you doing here?” he asked, voice flat, almost bored.Maren dropped into a bow. “Forgive me, sir. I—I was sent to collect the elder’s seal for archiving. I didn’t mean to—”“By whose order?”She hesitated. He took a step closer.“You were snooping,” he said simply. “And that’s not your place.”Her mouth went dry. “I only—”He grabbed her arm. Hard.“I should report you to Lila.”Maren’s mind raced. She had to think fast.Or she wouldn’t leave this room at all.Maren winced as Beta Cavan’s fingers dug into her arm. His grip was unforgiving, like iron wrapped in flesh.“I asked you a question,” he growled. “Who sent you?”Her lips parted, but no answer came. Her mind screamed. She couldn’t lie—he’d smell it. But if she told the truth… he might not wait for Lila’s orders to kill her.His grip tightened.“I think,” he said, leaning closer, “you’ve forg

Darkness filled the halls of the Crescent Moon Pack. It wasn’t just shadows—it was something alive, spreading, heavy, and cold.Lila stood tall in the center of it all.Her arms were crossed, her eyes sharp and hard. Her face showed no kindness. Power swirled around her like a storm. In front of her, the old sorcerer shook with fear, his hands trembling.“You’re going to give me more power,” Lila said calmly, but her voice was cold. “Right now.”The sorcerer shook his head. “I can’t. You’ve already taken too much. If you take more, the darkness will take over you. You’ll lose who you are.”“I don’t care,” she said, stepping closer. “Give it to me.”“No,” he said firmly. “I won’t be part of this. I won’t help you destroy yourself.”Her eyes narrowed. The air around her grew heavier. Shadows rose from the floor, swirling around her like snakes.“Then you’re of no use to me.”She lifted her hand. Dark magic flew from her fingers and wrapped around the sorcerer’s body. He gasped as the da

Ella shut her eyes. With every word, every touch, something inside her shifted. Her wolf responded to him—drawn to his energy, fueled by his strength. She felt it pulse beneath her skin: the light, the fire, the storm. His hands glided down her arms, guiding her movements. She moved in sync with him—fluid, controlled. Her fists struck the air with purpose, her kicks swift and sharp. Her aura flickered, then flared. For the first time, Ella felt strong—not just surviving, but becoming.“Good,” Damian said softly. “Don’t hold back. Let it all out.”She spun, moving with grace and power. Her fist slammed into the training dummy with a fierce crack—wood split, shards flying. She gasped, stumbling back in disbelief, staring at her trembling hands.“I… I did that?” she whispered.Damian stepped forward, his smile small but proud. “Yes. Your power is awakening.”She looked at him, heart pounding. “My… power?”He reached out, brushing a damp strand of hair from her cheek. His eyes held someth
