Carmen's POV

The phone rang. A name flashed across the screen. A name I never thought I would see on my phone screen.

It was my husband! My destined mate. Silas Knowles.

The phone rang again. This time it woke me up from my daze.

“Yes,” I answered the phone, my voice creaking like that of an owl.

“Ehhh,” I could hear the disgusted snort from the phone, the expression of disgust on his face, I could almost imagine it.
