Chapter Forty

Kyle's POV

We stood at the sidewalk for over five minutes just staring at each other. I spent my time looking for her and not practicing what I'd say if i actually saw her again.

This was weird. This silence was the loudest. It was us calling out to each other without knowing what to say.

"This is awkward." She said after kicking a stone with her foot.

"Tell me about it! We were never like this"

I examined her. Her eyes were still sparkling and the dress she wore without a doubt made her looking astonishing.

"So what are you doing here?"

I looked at her for a minute. Is she really asking me why I'm here!? Isn't it obvious?
