Chapter Twenty Four

Jocelyns POV

Lola just kept screaming and I covered my ears as a nurse came in the room. "What happened?" The nurse asked as another came in with a syringe. "We said hello and she just started screaming" Lorenzo lied. One of the nurses injected her with the syringe and her screaming slowly faded as her eyes closed. Paul looked like he was ready to murder the nurse "What did you do to her?" He asked angrily. "It's just a mild sedative. She should wake up in a couple of hours" The nurse explained with a gulp.

They helped put Lola on the bed and tucked her in then they left. Once the door was closed again we all let out a breath. "I can't believe she's your mate" I said to Paul. He just stared at Lola's sleeping form and walked over to the bed. He tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and stroked her cheek with his thumb.
