Chapter Twenty Three
Jocelyns POV
I could breath a little easier now that I knew Quinton wasn't going to reject me. I woke up the next morning bright and early. Paul, Lorenzo, and I were going to be doing a lot of traveling today. I grabbed my bag and made my way to the foyer. I felt warm arms wrap around me from behind. "Paul and Lorenzo will keep you safe" Quinton said in a sleepy voice. "I know" I said with a small smile.
I felt him kiss my temple before I turned around to embrace him. I'm going to miss you I linked to my mate. I'm going to miss you too He replied. I took a deep breath in to take in his scent one last time before I had to leave. "Call me when you officially wake up" I instructed him. His husky chuckle vibrated in his chest "Yes ma'am" He answered. I looked up to meet his gaze and bit my lip.

Jocelyns POV Lola just kept screaming and I covered my ears as a nurse came in the room. "What happened?" The nurse asked as another came in with a syringe. "We said hello and she just started screaming" Lorenzo lied. One of the nurses injected her with the syringe and her screaming slowly faded as her eyes closed. Jocelyns POVI looked to Paul and Lorenzo skeptically wondering if either of them might have an answer. "I'll give him a call to discuss the transfer" Lorenzo told the receptionist who gave a little smile and nodded her head. We walked away from the desk and back to Lola's room. She was sitting up on her bed with a coloring book and crayons. I smiled at how peaceful she looked right now. When the door closed behind us I looked to Lorenzo."So how are we going to pull this off?" I asked him. "I'll call Tony and that damn witch again" Enzo said with a shrug of his shoulder. Lorenzo pulled out his cell phone and stepped to the corner to rally the troops. I sat on the bed and looked at what Lola was coloring. She didn't even look up as she continued coloring a picture of Belle and the Beast. Paul stood beside the bed watching as well. Not her coloring but her and it made my heart soar."How are you holding up Paul?"

Jocelyns POVOnce we drove off I took a deep breath. "Let me stay in there until we get to Quinton's place" I tell everyone in the car. Everyone nodded and I closed my eyes while laying my head back on my seat. I took another deep breath again and took hold of Lola's hand. Just like before I was surrounded by darkness but this time I knew there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I started walking forward until I finally started to see a light.I took in the serene view in front of me, the trees swaying in the breeze the sun shining brightly. Quintons POV It was amazing having my mate back in my bed. She had been completely exhausted tonight and wanted to see the doctor tomorrow.
