CONTINUITY

He knelt beside her, "Are you fine Aunt?"

"Michael!" She calmly called and turned to Joe. "How are you Uncle Joe. It was_after l asked William to come back home, we took a taxi to here. I am concerned you are only left alone at home that's why I asked him to return",

"Yes ma'am. How do you feel now?" Joe asked,

Jeisin inhaled an air, trying to raise up where she sat down comfortable by the aid of Michael and Joe.

"Are you okay" they both asked.

Jeisin could only smile with less speech due to the weakness that seized her ability. "Thank you. I am feeling better. It will be fine" she uttered in gratified.

"I called Doctor Sen. He gave me some basic ideas and he's greeting you" Michael said as he was holding jeisin's hands firmly. After a short moment, he quickly stood up. "l will be on my way. I have to buy some medicines" he added and intends to go. Then again he turned to Joe, "uncle, there's  food in the kitchen. Feed Aunt, and remember..."

"With little salt" Joe spoken out altogether with Michael as they both found their way. Where Michael went out for the medicines and Joe went to the kitchen.

Jeisin had received a proper care and oversaw by Micheal and Joe. With special treatment she responded well and sought some rest.

In not less than ten minutes, Jeisin felt to sleep.

She had a dream. In the dream, she saw herself in a huge room filled with a mirror everywhere. There's a deep light in the room that reflected each mirror.

And at one hand, there was an aged man with a bushy beard, sitting in a chair.

He worn a white long gown with a neckerchief. The man was no other than jeisin's father, Mr. Annes. He was holding a small white stone. Jeisin walked to him and kneel down as she reached in front of him. "Father!" Jeisin uttered in sobered with her head down.

"My child, Jeisin. Raise up your head" he summoned.

"Why father. Why have you gone. Since after you left, everything has changed. I am sorry I couldn't fulfill my promise to you and Uncle mandrel",

"No life can be able to change his destiny as it was written since before we were born. I see the light in you above the people. Your light is like the lightness of this stone l am holding firmly in my hand. That's why you have to prepare for life and endure from all it's pain. Take it"

Jeisin raised her head and looked at him.

"Take it child" he added before Jeisin moved her knees slowly close and collect the white stone from Mr. Annes. She couldn't get her sight away from the miracle stone. As she saw it like she was watching the movement of her lifetime.

"Jeisin, you will face the hardship of life. But this stone will wipe your tears whenever you see through it. However, you will be well known above everyone. Remember my words to you. Everything will be just like the shinning stone in your hands",

"Yes father.. but the promise. I failed"

"You never failed me Jeisin and you will never. Things will change. I know now they are morning and blaming how they thrown you away",

"It's not them father. They had given me all the happiness l deserved, especially Uncle Mandrel. But since after he died_l couldn't get anything perfect",

"I know. Madam Rica and Lewis, they will never changed. But one day, you will lead them. The path you are following is on the right track",

"It has been a long dream father. That day will never came to me. Since they didn't need me anymore",

"I told you Jeisin. I am changed now. My words to you are like a sharpened of a sword, it's slash will never be hidden. One day, the light shadow of your life will raised",

Jeisin dropped a tears and spoke, "how l wish I will see you again father. Will you come back to us".

The man's face gleamed in smile as he uttered, "never my child. Once a door is closed it's closed forever. Neither will l see you nor will you see me again. But look in the mirror, if you could, you will see me in it as how you are seeing me now".

"But it's a dream father. Will l see this stone with me when I wake up",

"The moment you wake up from sleep , it's the first thing you will see in front of you. The stone has a life. And it's time for me to leave now. You can go",

Jeisin looked up to him loathed to go. "father.." she tried to speak.

"Leave my child. Or you will be closed inside the death room forever. Go. You can meet me as usual if you need to", Mr. Annes summoned at last.

Jeisin raised up and took a walk to go. By the time she stepped out of the room, she turned back. Whereas she could only see a leave fallen on the ground and no sign of him anymore.

"Father! Father!" She called out in distress. And she moved her right hand to the door of the room as it also disappeared.

Jeisin wake up constantly in startled with somniloguy of father. Michael was ironing the dresses to an extent he expeditiously dropped the iron and hurry off to her. He looked startle for a moment and then sat down next to her. Slowly he held her head and lowered her into eternal rest whirle to ease her mind.

"Cool down Aunt. It was a dream" he added in kind voice.

After some minutes, Jeisin began to relax as she loosened from him.

"How do you feel now?" Asked Micheal in concerned.

"Much better. Thank you Michael" she answered. And she blinked her eyes_ and what she sighted was her clothes in the cupboard that was still unlock, neatly trim, well iron and arrange inside. Again she looked at Michael in certain astonish and spoke, "where are these from Michael. Don't tell me you do it all by yourself. Not so".

"It's so. I did it, coz l see you can't able to do it now",

"Where is Joe"

"Uncle Joe had went to the market to buy some vegetables. Aunt, do you need anything?",

"No Mac, you have suffered yourself. Go and have some rest please",

"Well_ let me finish the work Aunt",

"Oh yes, Mac! I am sorry Micheal",

"No Aunt, don't hesitate. You have the right to call me whatever you like. Because you and Uncle Joe have no limit to my wisdom. Call me Aunt" he stood down and rested on his knees in front of Jeisin with pleasant smile on his face.

"Well let's call you Mac" jeisin's words were swamped by the laughter. She excitedly pulled him close in an embrace like how a mother lean her children against her chest to make them comforted by her sympathetic. Then she added, "don't let me forget. Mac please tell uncle Joe that he should feed the poultries with Onema and chicken Mash. I couldn't get the chance to tell him because of the conditions l found myself in",

"Sure I will inform him Aunt"

Jeisin smile wry and squeezed his cheeks. "off you go now" she added before he went off.

And she pulled her head down and raise, trying to remember her dream as she felt in deep thought,
