Alone now in the woods, it looked ominous and eerily quiet. Even the sound of the horse's foot was silent. All that could be heard was the susurration of the leafs in the gusty winds. The old yellow and brown leafs hustled in the the wind, as the sound of dead, weak trees, creaked at every push the wind gave. The horse neighed as if complaining why we weren't there yet. And he was right. The funniest thing was that, I didn't even know where I was heading to. I halted the horse to a stop, then went under a huge tree with my guide–the magical book, to lead the way. After sitting down on the heaves of leaves that pilled up on the floor, I took out my dagger to feed the book of its food. Blood.
"Nothing?" I found myself muttered when I saw that the book showed nothing on the page. It just remained blank. At first when I brought out the dagger to cut myself on purpose, it hurt a lot. The process of putting a blade straight through your skin, was de
"I'm a benevolent being.""Wait, benevolent. It means the good spirits right? Grandmother used to tell me about angels and demons." I saw his gaze fell on me as he stood opposite me, then I realized I was supposed to offer him something also. "I can check if there's another apple inside the bag, or something else." I was about to get up when I saw my respond made his nose to wrinkle."Apple, for what?" The look on his face was priceless. With his eyes narrowed, his thick brown brows pulling down and a bit of his almost white teeth exposed, creating a look somewhat between a confused and an irritated one."Food?" He stared as if I was going insane and only rubbish rushed out of my mouth."To eat—food?""Never mind. Tell me, what are you? An ang-""Hold it your majesty. I am, wait, and angel? The ocean. You'd think going through the ocean, it would be filled with beautiful fishes and other living aquatic lives, and beautiful palaces underwater.Well think again! We travelled pass the tall dark trees that stood well arranged in the woods, eerie howls growling behind us. The flame still shone brightly in my hand, guiding us to our destination. We finally arrived at a shore. I didn't even know how, everywhere around us was covered in silent darkness. As soon as the horse arrived, it stopped and then the stone went off."Perfect timing." I mumbled and waited for a reply from the horse but it turned out it'd disappeared again. "Coward." The horse must had been wondering why I called it a coward, but I wasn't even talking to the horse.Jeez! I'm just as confused as you are.You couldn't tell where the dark skies ended and the dark seas bega
The Afterlife-"Next life. It's next life your majesty."The Next life. What happens to you when you look into their eyes?Definitely not what you are thinking my friend."Right. Noted benevolent being. Seriously, I need to give you a name." We continued on the tiring journey, all along in the dark woods, with the dragon stone as the only source of light asides the small rays that came from the stars above."I don't know what you could call me. Maybe Tree?""Tree-""Oh, no no. Maybe like Lizard. I've always loved that name." The way he called the name, caused me to freak out in disgust. Have I mentioned how much I bloody hate those slimy crawly creatures!I bloody hate those slimy crawly creatures."What in the gods name is great
"So, you killed the god?""Shall we get over to the next place? The whole point of the mission gave me a headache. A painful headache that you have no idea how to get rid of, you can't cut your head off just because you wanted to cure your headache! Although I wished I could just fill that, only if I wouldn't die.You know that feeling, when wish you could just stop something but you dare not stop. You see, there's a certain level of tiredness that equates to insanity; for me it was when I'd like to temporarily dislocate my spirit from my body, as if I could ask the universe to take me out for just a short while, let mysoul go wherever souls go to be. I'm a fairlybrave person, I am, but sometimes I just didn't wanted to feel the process of recovery all over again. I knew I had to wake up feeling okay in the morning. I would, but it was simply a level of worn-out-ness that hurts. But I knew I wasn't tired physically. It was the mind a
"Your majesty? Your majesty?" His voice disturbed over and over again, and in that darkness, we were still the only soul that lurked the demonic forest. Of course there were other beings out there too, but at least they crawled into hiding. "Your majesty?""WHAT!" My voice came out a little louder than I'd expected. "What the bloody hell do you want?" "Where are we going next?" And with that statement, he provoked every nerve that filled me, and I could fill my eyes twitched in annoyance, like I could just face him and strangled every bit of essence left in his poor soul.Meat.You don't even have to ask. Judging from the nam
Millions of things I could do, ran through my mind, but none of it seemed possible. I could call on the power of the dragon stone, but it didn't seem to work. I could run back towards the beast, and fight again, but it would kill me in the blink of an eye. I could also stay low in the corner there, but then again, I would still die."Come out you foolish girl!" My breathing for some reason, increased and started beating faster like I had just ran a million miles. Then I saw it. The ring that was covered in blackish blood still lying on the floor in the middle of the room, then I glanced up at his head and I still saw the glow that appeared on his head. My eyes returned back to the ring on the floor again and I instantly knew what I had to do. How could I had been that foolish?"You are so dumb right now, wait, what do they call you?" Distraction. He needed to be distracted, since pride was something I'd noticed he couldn't deal with proper
