Their Distrust-Hey Loyalty

[Thia’s POV]

We moved quickly through the night towards the gorge where Leah was trapped and injured. It hadn’t taken long to find a path leading down to it after I was ready to jump. If my sister needed me, I would do whatever it took to help her.

"Thia, you need to be careful!" Ashton hissed as I stumbled over a root that was sticking out of the ground. "Here, get on my back."

"What?" I hissed. "I’m not."

"Just do as he says." Antoine warned. "If you don’t obey willingly, he is just going to force you."

Letting out a frustrated huff, I did as I was told. There wasn’t any time to argue anyway.

"Now get moving!" I commanded, keeping gaze fixed on the river ahead that was now in view. "We’re almost there."

Nodding, Ashton began to move at super-human speed, finishing off the last bit of the trek and stopping to look around. I remained quiet as he sniffed the air.

"Over there," he announced, beginning to move.

Sucking in a breath, I took in Leah’s prone form as it came into view. Dammit
