Sera’s POV

The moment he said my name, it looked like everything stopped. “Sera.”

That single word cut through the rage inside me like light through smoke. The noise around me dulled.

The screams.

The shouting.

The fear.

All of it faded for one sharp second.

And I came back.

Not fully.

Not safely.

But enough to know something terrible had happened.

Enough to know that I have done something wrong and brutal

My breathing came hard and rough. My chest rose and fell too fast. My body still felt pow

  • The Beta's Regret: ONCE REJECTED, NOW MY EX'S QUEEN    CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE

Dr. Kade’s POVPain changes the way you think. Not the quick kind. Not the sharp, passing kind. The kind that lingers. The kind that settles into your bones and refuses to leave. It had been over a week.Seven days since I crawled out of that chamber like something that should have died.Seven days since the twins—No.Since those creatures—Tore into me like I was nothing.I stood in front of the mirror in my quarters, studying my reflection. My face was healing. But not enough. The scars were still there.Angry.Visible.One stretching from the side of my cheek down toward my jaw.Another across my neck.My fingers brushed lightly against it.Pain flared.Pain meant I was alive.Pain meant I survived. But survival didn’t mean victory.“They remember,” I muttered. The words tasted bitter.Because that was the part I couldn’t shake. Not the attack. Not the blood. Not even the fear.It was their eyes.Recognition.Awareness.Memory.They knew me.They remembered everything I had done.

  • The Beta's Regret: ONCE REJECTED, NOW MY EX'S QUEEN    CHAPTER SEVENTY-TWO

Mila’s POVAfter the meeting I had with Logan that day, his words followed me out of the palace. Not loudly. Not like a warning. But like something that had already settled into place and refused to leave. “…we’ll finally be able to take the Voss palace.”Take it.Not serve it.Not protect it.Take it.I walked through the outer corridor slowly, my heels clicking softly against the stone floor, my face calm, composed—just like always. But inside? My thoughts were moving fast.Too fast.Logan.Dorian’s most trusted guard. The one everyone believed was loyal.Invisible in the way dangerous people often are.And now, he was the one pulling strings.I let out a small breath as I stepped outside. The air hit my skin, cool and grounding.Good.I needed that.Because if I stayed in that corridor one second longer, I might have started smiling like a mad woman.“Why?” I murmured under my breath. Why would he betray Dorian? Why would he risk everything?Power?Revenge?Something deeper?I tilt

  • The Beta's Regret: ONCE REJECTED, NOW MY EX'S QUEEN    CHAPTER SEVENTY-ONE

Lena’s POV The chaos in the Voss palace started days ago and everyone could feel it. The Voss palace was drowning in the chaos that is currently going on. I didn’t leave my chamber at all. Not when I heard whispers about Sera’s transformation at the palace gate. Not when the twins disappeared. Not when the mystery man appeared and not when Caden was arrested. I stayed exactly where I was because I understood something they didn’t. This is just the start of real chaos in the Voss palace and arresting Caden or putting him behind bars won’t solve the problem. It won’t even destroy him. I leaned back in my chair, my fingers tapping lightly against the armrest and thinking about everything that has ever happened since I was acquainted with caden. Every move he had ever made, every decision, every risk he took has always led to control. And even now that he is locked away in the prison , he surely has a plan and he is waiting for the perfect time to execute it. A faint smile touched

  • The Beta's Regret: ONCE REJECTED, NOW MY EX'S QUEEN    CHAPTER SEVENTY

Dorian’s POVSera and I moved immediately the guard reported the arrival of the twins and their movement to the palace prison. We didn’t slow down— not after what the guard just told us, not after the realization that the twins had returned for Caden. The corridors blurred as we moved. Sera was beside me, her pace matching mine perfectly. There was no hesitation in her steps. No fear or confusion, just focus and I could feel it.I didn’t say anything.Neither did she.Because if we started talking now, we wouldn’t stop. And this was not the time to fall apart. We finally reached the palace prison and the air shifted immediately.Like the place itself knew something was wrong.Guards stood outside the cell. “They’re inside,” one of them said as we approached.I didn’t respond, I just stepped forward and I looked through the bars and I froze immediately. I saw the twins staying there. Completely normal. No fur.No claws. No blood.Just—Two boys.My sons.Standing in front of Alpha Ca

  • The Beta's Regret: ONCE REJECTED, NOW MY EX'S QUEEN    CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE

Mila’s POVI wasn’t lost about what has been going on in the Voss palace and I loved every bit of it. Chaos is beautiful. Not the kind people pretend to hate while secretly craving. The kind that breaks order. The kind that exposes truth. The kind that makes powerful people bleed.I stood by the corridor window, watching the palace grounds below, and for the first time in a long time, I smiled without holding back. From where I stood, I could see guards running around, servants whispering and nobles pacing like trapped animals. The Voss palace was no longer untouchable. It was cracking. And I loved it.Everything had happened so fast.Too fast for anyone to contain.Sera’s transformation. The bloodline exposed. The twins missing and….. Then found . Everything going on in the Voss palace right now is what I have hoped for because I didn’t even have to push that hard. They were destroying themselves.I leaned my head slightly against the wall and closed my eyes.Just for a moment.Let

“It was your mother.”Immediately Rorean said that, I felt something shatter in the atmosphere. I also saw the stillness in Sera. I turned to her immediately. She wasn’t moving.Wasn’t blinking.Wasn’t breathing properly.Just standing there like the world had ended and no one told her how to react to it.Roran didn’t speak.Caden didn’t need to.The damage was already done.“Sera…” I called but she didn’t answer me. I stepped closer, my hand hovering near her arm before I finally touched her lightly and as careful as possible. Her skin was cold. Her eyes slowly shifted toward me and I could see the emptiness in it. Not the kind of emptiness that comes from confusion. The kind that comes from something being ripped out of you.“My mother…” she whispered. Her voice barely existed.I didn’t let her stay there. Not in that place. Not in front of him.Not where Caden could watch her break and enjoy it.“Come,” I said firmly and dragged her out of the place. She didn’t argue or question
