After the doctor checked my blood pressure, he went to see the status of my daughter.

When I declared the relation of being the father to the kids, Evelyn's hard eyes weren't easy to ignore. They had questions, numerous questions in those dark browns. She looked like she was going to explode and burn me alive. Although, she did utter a single word, asking, "Why?"

It wasn't just a word, it was the whole train of questions. I knew she wouldn't back down until I answered the question, so to my stupidity, I said, "It wouldn't take much time now considering the donor is her father."

I very well knew it was a stupid reason, but I had to give one.

Descending down the corridor, I made my way toward the room that the doctor had asked me to come to.
