I wondered what it was he wanted to talk about. I took two steps backward.

"I am listening."

He looked at Dr. Jude, and it seemed whatever he wanted to say, he would rather not say it in front of the man.

"Not here, let's go somewhere private."

Dr. Jude, who became a bit uncomfortable after noticing what was happening, decided to excuse himself politely.

"Oh, don't worry, Alpha Klaus, I would step out for a bit and come back after you are done," he said with a smile, one which Klaus returned.

As soon as he left, Klaus turned around and shut the door.

He hesitated briefly before turning, his eyes meeting mine.

I glanced at my wristwatch to check the time; I clearly did that so he would know how time-conscious I was and how I wasn't interested in having anyone waste my time.

"Uhmm…," he started, losing his train of speech as he searched my eyes.

"You said you wanted to say something," I reminded him, snapping him back to the moment as he seemed lost.

"Yeah, Nora…," he took a deep b
