I looked at the bartender and barked at him, “More drink....please.” I added a soft 'please' at the end, trying to sound polite.

I wasn’t the best person tonight but that didn't mean I had completely forgotten my manners.

He stared at me with a tired expression.

“Miss, you’ve already had too much to drink. Don’t you think you should start heading home now?”

I glared at him.

“Who do you think you are, talking to me like that? Give me another drink this instant before I speak to your manager and have you fired,” I yelled.

He sighed, but turned around and poured it anyway.

I took it slower this time before setting the glass down.

I was completely drunk. I knew that. But something still felt missing deep in my chest, that I was trying to fill up with the alcohol.

As I reached for the glass again, bringing it to my lips, someone suddenly took it from my hand.

My eyes snapped up immediately to the man who just stole my drink.

He drank from it like it was nothing, his lips touching the same spot my lips had previously touched.

He didn’t even look guilty. Just calm… and dripping with confidence.

Then he finally looked at me.

His gaze dragged over my body in a way that made my breath hitch.

He looked so fucking hot.

Dark hair resting loosely on his forehead. Sharp jawline. A black jacket sitting perfectly on his frame.

Then he leaned closer, so close that I caught a wiff of his manky Cologne.

“I’ve been watching you for a while now,” he said, as licked his lower lip. “Are you here with someone?”

I rolled my eyes and looked away.

“Can you leave me alone, please?” I said, not wanting any disturbance.

He chuckled.

“I like a girl who plays hard to get.”

I stared at this man. Was he crazy, speaking to me like that? Couldn't he see I was fat and completely unattractive? I looked around the bar.

There were plenty of pretty women he could talk to instead. So why was he talking to me?

“Can’t you find someone better to disturb?” I snapped.

He leaned in slightly, his face coming dangerously close to mine. My eyes thoughtlessly dropped to his lips.

“But I find you more interesting.”

His voice sent chills down my spine, and I backed away, nearly falling off my stool. He caught me, steadying me with one hand.

I straightened up.

"I think it's time I take you home," he said, his deep voice vibrating through my body. He held me by the waist and led me out. I didn't try to struggle. I was too exhausted to care.

When we stepped into the parking garage, he asked, "Where's your car? I can drive you."

Instead of answering, I held onto his jacket, my fingers coiling into the fabric as I rested my weight against him.

He looked down at me and let out a low chuckle.

"Do you want people to think we're a couple or something?" Then his eyes landed on my hand and then my wedding ring and the smile on his face faltered. "You're married. Remember?"

I looked at him.

“But you approached me, didn’t you see my ring before?”

His face went serious.

“No,” he said honestly. “If I had, I wouldn’t have approached you. I don't do married women.”

I blinked at him and then a crazy thought entered my mind.

Then I pulled away from him, my my fingers circling the ring, before pulling it off.

Then I tossed it away like I was discarding trash.

His eyes widened at my action

“What do you think you’re doing?” he asked.

“Removing the problem,” I shrugged.

“Now you have nothing to worry about.”

He shook his head slightly.

“You’re drunk, miss. I think I should take you home.”

“My name is Myra,” I said firmly. “Not miss. Just call me Myra.”

He stared at me for a moment, then reached up and gently brushed a strand of hair behind my ear.

“I’m Jade,” he said. “Nice to meet you, Myra.”

I exhaled slowly, when his finger touch my cheek.

“Can you take me home?”

“I don’t know where your house is,” he replied. “Maybe you can give me an address… or I can take you on my bike.”

My eyes widened instantly.

“You have a bike?”

He smirked slightly.

“It’s right this way.”

He led me to where an elegant, nightshade, black bike was packed. His bike was a damn beauty, and from looking at it, I could tell it cost quite a pinch.

“It’s beautiful,” I said, smiling brightly as I ran my finger over the machine.

“I know,” he replied with a proud smirk. “All the girls love it.”

His cockiness lit something up in me. This was exactly what I needed tonight. I stepped closer to him and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“Why don’t you take me to your place?”

His brows lifted slightly as he stared down at me.

“You’re getting a little bold, don’t you think?”

“I don’t care,” I said, shocking him. “Just take me home.”

His eyes held mine for a second longer.

“You said you found me attractive, right,” I added, before he could reject my request.

He exhaled lightly.

“Yeah,” he admitted, biting his lower lip. “You’re fucking hot.”

“Then take me home and undress me.” I blurted out without bothering to think for a second.

"Okay." Jade smirked. "Your wish is my command, miss–" He paused, correcting himself. "Myra."

*****

I gripped the edge of the dresser, a sharp moan escaping my lips as Jade slammed into me from behind.

The dresser rocked forward with the force of it, and I moaned again, rocking my hips back to meet him, even harder.

My eyes landed on my reflection in the mirror. I looked so vulnerable, so undone, and I couldn't look away.

He leaned in, pressing his jaw against the crook of my neck, his breath ragged against my cheek.

Then he bit down gently above my ear, and I shivered, my legs trembling, threatening to close. But he caught my thigh just before I could, lifting my leg and placing it on the dresser.

"Ah," I cried out.

"Can you see how fucking beautiful you are?" he whispered against my ear. "So divine."

His palm cupped my breast, squeezing just hard enough to make me gasp. My body shivered, and I felt myself getting close, so close to climax.

His pace only increased.

"I could do this every day with you," he murmured. "I could worship your body."

I gripped his hair, pulling my head back against his shoulder as my peak hit me, hard enough that my legs nearly gave out.

He caught my waist, holding me steady, and I felt him follow right after, a deep groan tearing from his throat as he finished inside me.

He held me close, brushing my hair from my face before my legs could fully give out beneath me.

"You're so beautiful," he murmured. "I've never seen anyone as beautiful as you, Myra."

Then he carried me to the bed.

We made love a few more times before I lost track of time and finally passed out.

*****

Morning sunlight drifted into the room, and I stretched against the sheets, my eyes blinking open before shutting again as the light hit my face. For a moment, I wanted to stay there, wrapped in the warmth of the bed.

Then the memories from the night before crashed into me all at once.

I sat up sharply, staring at the man beside me. The sheet barely covered his lower half, and I could see the ink of a tattoo stretched across his chest, rising and falling with each breath. My heart hammered.

'Oh my God, Myra. What did you do?' I screamed in my head.

I scrambled out of bed as quietly as I could, my bare feet padding across the floor as I searched for my scattered clothes. I picked them up one by one, pulling them on in haste.

Once dressed, I glanced back at Jade. He was still fast asleep, his lips slightly parted, a faint groan escaping him as he shifted. For a second, I thought he might wake.

I grabbed my purse and slipped out of the room.

Jade's P.O.VPicking up the first file from the coffee table, I slowly read through it. I scanned the information about one of the potential surrogate mothers, who was sitting directly across from me on the leather sofa, tracking my movements.I glanced at the woman, and she flashed me a wide, bright smile, shifting her posture with total confidence.I adjusted the file on my lap, settling back against the cushion to create some professional distance.“I see here that your blood type is A positive,” I said, more as an observation than a question.“Oh, yes, it is, Mr. Dantrix,” she replied, leaning forward eagerly. “And might I also add that I have really strong genes?”My eyes lifted from the file to her face, my expression remaining completely flat.“Strong genes?” I repeated, questioning her phrasing. She nodded proudly, tipping her chin up with an air of immense self-assurance.“My mother had twins, and both my grandmother and great-grandmother also had twins.”One of my brows arch

Jade's P.O.VDespite how far the night had gone from my original plan, things finally seemed to be going smoothly. Myra and I were having our drinks and carrying on a normal conversation.I asked a few simple, surface-level questions, trying to get a better idea of who she was outside the office.I now knew that her favorite color was red, she was allergic to fish, and that her favorite season was winter.I had never really had a favorite season before, but I was seriously beginning to think winter could become mine.“You still haven't told me how you got my address and phone number,” Myra said in the middle of our conversation as she took another sip of her iced peach tea.“Your phone number was already on the company's employee list. As for your address, well...” I paused, a small smile tugging at my lips. “You could say I stalked you.”Her brows furrowed. “You stalked me?”“Yeah.” I leaned back slightly, watching the subtle way her expression shifted. “After your third day at the o

Myra's P.O.VMy fist clenched.I simply stared at Vincent, trying to decide whether I had heard him clearly or not."Excuse me?"He took another step toward me, his expression darkening. "You heard me clearly," he said. "Or would you like me to repeat what I said?"The audacity of the man almost made me want to laugh. Who exactly did Vincent think he was?"You came into this private lounge unannounced, and that's the first thing you chose to say to me.""Are you trying to deny it?" he asked, his eyes narrowing. "You expect me to believe there's nothing going on between you two?"I folded my arms across my chest, refusing to let his accusation or irritating presence get under my skin. I was already boiling on the inside, and one more idiotic thing from him was going to make me snap."Is that jealousy I sense from you, Vincent?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. His jaw hardened even further. I was almost certain his teeth were beginning to ache from how tightly he was clenching them."

Myra's P.O.V"Stop overthinking," he murmured, his voice sounding deep and sinfully tempting. His face slowly drew closer to mine, and I did not pull back; I did the very opposite by inching closer to him. When our lips met, it felt like an electric spark, the kind that gave a hint of excitement and vulnerability at the same time. His arms wrapped around my waist, and he pressed me against his body, while my fingers locked into his hair.As the kiss deepened, the cool rush of mint from his mouth clouded my tongue. Beneath it lingered something warm and faintly sweet, like dark chocolate. Jade's arms still held me firmly, like he wasn't ready to let go.His frame was blocking my view, so I couldn't see the woman who had spoken."Did you forget how to knock?" Jade snapped."I'm sorry. Myra's P.O.VIt was Jade's voice. I looked across the pavement over at him, and he had his phone pressed tightly to his ear, a smug smirk resting on his face.I immediately ended the call and walked over to where he stood."How did you get my phone number, Jade?" I asked, crossing my arms.He shrugged casually, a glint of amusement in his eyes."I'll tell you when we get to where we're going," he replied smoothly. He shoved his phone into his pocket and handed me a heavy black helmet."Put this on."Despite my unanswered question, I took the helmet from his hands and slid it over my head, carefully fastening the chin straps into the buckle until it clicked securely. He pulled on his own helmet and swung his leg over the seat, getting onto the bike."Hop on, my lady," he said, turning the key.I crossed my leg over the leather seat and sat down directly behind him. Myra's P.O.V"...and that concludes everything for the week, Mr. Dantrix," I said, holding the iPad down as I finished the full run-through of the office schedule. It was apparently something Jade liked to do every Friday before he closed for the day. He preferred to go through the week's activities to see how he could improve his schedule for the next week."Thank you, Myra," Jade muttered, giving his leather chair a single, smooth spin. "Finally, I can start enjoying my weekend effective immediately."He seemed to be in a very good mood today. I was tempted to ask him what had put him in such a fine spirit, but I quickly suppressed my curiosity."I guess that means I get to close early today, right?" I asked."Yeah, but before you leave, I should congratulate you," he said with a smile."Congratulate me for what?" I questioned, slightly confused as to what I was being rewarded for.His grin stretched even wider, pulling back to reveal a perfect set of gleaming white teeth."Fo
