CHAPTER 17

NICHOLAS

Nicholas walks into his company with a depressed look on his face, as he thinks about all what had happened the day before. He still can’t accept the fact that Cassy doesn’t love him but then he knows he has no choice but to accept it since there is nothing he can do about it. He didn’t even see her this morning before he left for work. She hadn’t come down, and he didn’t go to check on her because he knows she is avoiding him.

“Sir, are you okay?” One of his staffs says with concern, as the other staffs also wonder what is wrong with him. He is always jovial and vibrant whenever he comes in for work so they can’t help but wonder why he is down, and looking depressed all of a sudden.

“I’m fine, I just had a rough day yesterday and I couldn’t get enough sleep.” He says, and walks into his office. He buries his head in his palm, wondering why Cassy doesn’t love him. He has been trying to do everything in his power to make her happy, so why did she not love him? He is
