CHAPTER 6

CASSANDRA

I sigh, dropping my head to my desk in frustration. The office closed thirty minutes ago and everyone has gone to their various homes, except me. I’ve been writing a resignation letter, and I’ve written up to five now, and I just feel it doesn’t cover everything I want to say to that crazy person I call my boss. I want it to cover all the hatred I feel towards him, and how much he disgusts me, and how long I’ve wanted to leave his company.

"Why are you still here, not going home yet?" I let out a sigh, knowing fully well who it is. I look back to see my boss, the devil I was just thinking about, staring at me hungrily, making me cringe.

I start to pack up my things from my desk, deciding to drop the resignation letter at his desk tomorrow. "I am leaving now, I just need to wrap up a few things and I will be done." I say, trying my best to ignore his lustful gaze.

"Do you want me to drive you home?" He asks, his footsteps getting closer.

"No, there will be no need f
