83. THINGS WON'T BE EASY

I RAN SO FAST that I stumbled on my foot alongside Callan. I could not believe it, or I was trying to fool myself into an illusion that my mother was dead, and whatever I witnessed a few minutes ago was not valid. Be damned my illusions, I’d be freaking damned!

Callan guarded me from falling off balance as he reassured me, “Hey, watch out!”

As Callan called out my name, I looked to the back and saw a group of henchmen following us with guns in their hands and they started shooting aimlessly.

Callan grabbed me by my arms and pushed me towards the side of a wall, rescuing me as I would have endured a severe injury if the bullet pierced through my body.
