Chapter 15

            A month and a half later . . .

            Joanna’s fears of chasing Trevor away because she wouldn’t sleep with him on the yacht six weeks ago were unfounded. If anything, he was more attentive to her. He called her at least three times a week and they went out twice a week. It would have been more if it wasn’t for her working full-time and going to school part-time. The past six weeks with him had been the happiest of her life.

            For their fourth date, they had gone back to Floyd Bennett Field Raceway for some fun. Trevor raced two rich cocky teenagers and won. He got a thousand dollars each from them. Their fifth and sixth date they had lunch at the Four Seasons. After the sixth date, she had stopped counting. But, during the last few weeks t
