The Nelson Family ( Nicholas Nelson )

Somewhere in the City of S Country has a big mansion with several security guarding it.

Inside the big mansion was the multi-billionaire family called The Nelsons.

The Nelson family is the richest, most feared, and most respectable family in the country. No one dares to mess with them unless he or she has a death wish.

But what the family is seen outside is different from what goes on inside the mansion.

Currently, they all sat at the dining table having their breakfast without each of them speaking.

The family consists of the old couple Nelson, their son Alex and his current wife, Anastasia.

Alex Nelson has four children. Two boys and two girls.

He gave birth to Nicholas Nelson and his sister Abigail Nelson by his late wife, Regina Nelson.

He then married his current wife, Anastasia Nelson, who was the best of his late wife, Regina, two years after his wife's death. Their marriage itself has been one of the main reasons why the family never has peace with others.

Alex Nelson has two kids with Anastasia. Rose Nelson and Anthony Nelson. And these two particular siblings never seize to cause trouble for others.

“Dad, I'm going to propose to Rita this evening. I want us to get married as soon as possible so that we can provide you with grandchildren.” Anthony, 24 years of age, said to his father.

He intentionally brought up such a topic to irritate Nicholas.

“Wow, brother, like seriously, I'm finally going to be an Aunt very soon. I can't wait for the wedding day to come…” His sister, Rose, 22 years of age, chipped in, just to add more fuel to the fire.

“Sure Sis, I would rather not be like brother Nicky, who prefers to be single throughout his whole life.” Anthony continued his taunting.

“You don't need to worry about others, who don't care about our family legacy,” Rose said and chuckled.

Abigail couldn't take it anymore and slammed her fist on the dining table, making everyone startled.

“What the heck is wrong with you? How da--” Rose didn't finish her statement before Abigail pulled her hair painfully, making her scream in pain?

“I dare you to say one fucking word about my brother again, and I will make sure to make your hair bald with my hand." Abigail hissed at her before she let go of her hair.

“Abigail, don't be hard on your sister. She was saying what she thought was right. And besides, I don't think what they said was wrong. Your brother needs to give this family an heir since he's the oldest child and the CEO of our company. Is he not--” Mr. Alex's words were cut off by Nicholas.

“Grandma, Grandpa, I'm full. I will take my leave now. I have a lot of work to do at the office.” Nicholas said to his grandparents before he stood up to leave.

“Alright Nicky, take care of yourself and have a fruitful day, my child.” His grandfather said to him with a smile.

Nicholas took his sister's hand and urged her to leave with him.

“Nicholas Nelson, are your grandparents the only people here to say goodbye to them?” Mr. Alex felt angry with his son's demeanor and attitude.

Nicholas paused in his track and turned to face him with his cold face.

“Who are you to me? What makes you think that you have any right in my life? The day you figure out your position in my life, maybe, and I mean just fucking perhaps, I might say goodbye to you before I go to work.

And ah! You can hear it faster if you can leave this world for good. I will make sure to put you in the grave or cremate your dead body with a big goodbye. But until then, don't fucking talk to me.” Nicholas said coldly to his father.

Everyone became silent at the dining table. They all know Nicholas to be a man of few words, but with just a single word of him, he can kill you within the blink of an eye.

Nicholas is the perfect guy for any lady out there. They call him ' The Country God'. His green eyes can make every one die for him. His handsome face, which is only seen by a few is beyond comparison. His tall enough for his age, which is 30 years.

His body is so perfect that many men of their class envy him.

He turned to leave but his stepmother stopped and walked toward him. “You forgot your lunchbox, both of you. Make sure you don't stress yourself at work today. And eat your lunch on time. I will call you to find out if you don't.”

Anastasia said to them with so much care. Though she's only their stepmother, but the woman has a heart of gold. She's not like the stepmothers you often see on TV or read in novels. The woman genuinely loves Nicholas and Abigail.

“Thanks, Aunt, we will. I will video it for you like always.” Abigail said with a smile and kissed her cheek.

Nicholas did the same as the siblings left for work.

Anastasia watched them walk into their car before she waved her hand at them.

The woman immediately rushed to her children and slapped Anthony first before slapping Rose.

“Mom!!!” They both cried out in pain and shock.

“I will tell you this once and for all, if you don't stop messing with Nicholas and Abigail, I swear on my parent's grave that I will disown you as my biological children,” Anastasia said furiously.

“Mom, why do you always choose their sides instead of us, your biological children? They are not even your real children.” Rose shouted through her tears, which earned her another slap from her mother again.

“I DARE YOU TO SAY SUCH NONSENSE AGAIN!!! Nicholas and Abigail are my children. They are my children. And the sooner you get that into your stupid head, the better it will be for the both of you.” Anastasia said angrily to her children before she turned to her husband.

“Why are you giving me that look, Anne?” Alex asked his wife as he got up to go to her.

“Don't you dare come closer to me, Alex. You should be ashamed of yourself. Only a pathetic and foolish father will fight with his son over the position of CEO.

Mom and Dad handed the company to you, but what did you do? You nearly ruined the company. Had it not been for Nicholas and his smart brain, what would have happened to our company?

Yet because of your greed, you choose to fight with him over the position of CEO after witnessing how much he had suffered to build the company up again on his own.

How much more do you want him to do? Alex, you are exhausting your son with your stupidity. “ Anastasia said and moved closer to him before she continued…

“I tell you what, Alex, I won't mind divorcing you just to support my son Nicholas. Keep that in mind, you dumb fool.”

Anastasia spat furiously at him before she left for her room.

The old couple kept silent all this while because they knew the only person who can deal with their stupid son is his wife.

They stood up without a word and went to their room with a smile on their face. They just love it when Anastasia grilled her husband.

“Dad…” Rose whispered as she went and hugged her father, who was now fuming.

Anthony left for his room after smashing his jug on the floor.

Inside the SUV car, Nicholas and Abigail watched everything that happened in the house after they left.

They have connected the CCTV cameras in the house to their phone. So, they can watch and know everything that happens in the house in their absence.

“Auntie will always fight for us in our absence. Why do you think she does that Nicky?” Abigail asked his brother, who was now reading a magazine.

“Isn't it obvious? She doesn't want us to feel indebted to her. She might have loved us so much. I don't think she will be happy if we thank her or witness all of that. I think I'm getting more attached to her as if she's our biological mother.”

Nicholas said and turned his face to the car window. He remembered when their father got married to Anastasia years ago.

He used to think that Anastasia took away his mother's place since they were friends, but the woman has proven herself over and over to him to be innocent.

Nicholas couldn't ask for a better supporter than his stepmother.

Their car soon pulled over in front of their office. They got down and entered the office.

As usual, the siblings never respond to the greetings of their employees. They went straight to the VIP elevator that leads to their personal office on the third floor.

Nicholas entered his office and Abigail did the same. Their office is just close to each other.

Nicholas was surprised to see his best friend Mike in his office the moment he entered.

“What brings you to my office this early morning?” He asked and ignored his presence as he went to his seat.

“Hey, that's not fair… " Mike playfully pouted and went to sit in front of Nicholas.

"Oops, I can see someone is in a bad mood. What happened Nicky? Did you fight with your Dad again?” Mike asked casually as if it was a normal topic.

Nicholas nodded his head to him.” Not only him, those two stupid being too. They are lucky I'm holding back because of ---” Nicholas's words were cut off by Mike.

“I know, I know, you are holding back because of your stepmother. But Nicky, you can't always allow your Dad and those fuckers to talk shit to you as they pleased. Fuck, I want to punch that fucker, Anthony really hard in the face.” Mike said getting angry.

Nicholas just stared at him before he asked again. “So, what brings you here early this morning?”

“Hey, I miss you okay? Is it wrong to visit my best friend?” Mike feigned hurt.

Nicholas just stared at him as if he was searching for something from his fave before he voiced out…

“Let me guess, how many girls crashed at your place last night? Why do I have this feeling that you run away from your house?” Nicholas asked as he continued to stare at him with a smirk.

“Fuck you, do you have to say it out like that?” Mike said and rolled his eyes before he spoke again.

“Anyway, go to the club with me tonight. It's been a while since we spend a good time together.” Mike suggested.

“I'm not going, I have a lot of work to do. And you better leave here before I call the security to come and drag you out.” Nicholas said without looking at him as he opened the files on his table.

“Cold-hearted fucker. We are still going. I will be expecting your call at 8:00 tonight. I will come and drag you there if you dare to ditch me.” Mike said as he stood up and left, slamming Nicholas's office door really hard.

Nicholas chuckled as he stared at Mike's figure disappear from his office.

His secretary knocked on his door after a while.

“Come in…” Nicholas said, without raising his head from the file he was reading.

“Sir, please, we have a problem.” His secretary Grace said as her body shook.

“What is it Grace? What happened?” Nicholas asked, not liking the way she was behaving.
