Chapter 3: First Warning

Stella

"Hi, good morning!" I happily greeted him when I saw him coming down our stairs so I greeted him with a sweet smile which made him stunned.

I want us to be as comfortable with each other. I didn't want to avoid it because it would be even more awkward so I adjusted myself. Jaxon might have a hard time doing that.

"Ahm… are you going to work now? Early this morning?" I asked because I saw he was dressed in an office, so he nodded and averted his gaze. So I just nodded and without hesitation, I grabbed his two shoulders and passed him over to the table so we could eat together.

I'm used to eating in the morning so I'm surprised because Jaxon seems to be shocked by what he sees now. After all, everything ready in front of him is his favorite.

"How did you know?" He was referring to the dishes served in front of him today so I proudly lifted the magazine I was holding which stated everything here about him. Because I did that I could see the joy pass in his eyes and he suppressed a small smile on his face.

"Since we're married. I want to meet you," I explained and I felt my cheeks turn red because of what I said. I don't know but I was immediately embarrassed when I saw his reaction to what he heard from me.

"Wow! Really?" I could feel the excitement in his voice so I faked a laugh and nodded. If I could just feed on the ground, I would have it done now because of the embarrassment I feel in front of Jaxon.

"Let's eat. The food might get cold if we are still staring at each other." I changed the subject so Jaxon nodded and I secretly watched him as he tasted what I cooked for him.

I hope he liked it because he was the first person to taste my cooking. While I was eating, I thought about his reaction earlier.

I could see in his eyes that he seemed shocked and he even changed from what he saw. Maybe Jaxon isn't used to being with someone so that's how he showed it.

"Jaxon, are you new with this kind of view? I mean, you looked shocked when you saw what I did today." I couldn't stop myself asking so he stopped eating and stared into my eyes.

That stared at him. That look makes me feel like I'm floating when I stare into his eyes. It's so beautiful because of his mysterious eyes, you can't read what's on his mind.

"Yes, I mean I’m just a little bit shocked that someone is taking care of me. All my life I've been the only one taking care of myself." He explained why I stopped eating and stared at him.

"Then from now on, you'll get used to it." Smiling, I promised a reason to stop him and sparingly smiled. I just secretly sniffed because he was stingy to speak.

What you asked is also the only thing he will answer. Well, I will also get used to Jaxon.

"How about you? Don't you have a photoshoot today?" He was curious so I drank some water before answering him.

"Later at 10 A.M. I still have 3 hours left to prepare on my way to my photoshoot," it was my short answer so he just nodded and stood up so I stood up as well.

"Take care on your way to the photoshoot, Stella. Text me when you've arrived," he said but before he could finally get out of the kitchen I suddenly blocked my body causing him to frown.

What the heck! Even with a frown, he was still very handsome. Is he one of the Lord’s favorites?

"Why? Is there something wrong?" There was a hint of concern in his voice so I shook violently and corrected the wrong placement of his tuxedo. When I saw that it was okay I just smiled and looked up to look at him.

But I think I want to regret what I did because I can see his very black eyes up close. We stared at each other for a long time so I was the first to avoid it because of the strange beating of my heart.

"There, you can go to work. Take care on your way to the company, Jaxon." I said and turned around when I felt him touching my arm and facing him.

"What are you doing-" I held my breath the next time Jaxon did. I almost wanted to get out of my heart because of what he did to me. I feel mixed emotions right now about what he did right now.

He kissed me on my forehead.

"Thank you, Stella. I appreciate your effort." He sincerely said and left me in the kitchen like an idiot because I was smiling ear to ear.

"Stella!" I came back to reality when I heard my manager slash my friend screaming in front of me. So I smiled and pretended to listen to her, causing her to stare at me.

"Don't even pretend you're listening to me. I might just tweak you." I could feel the annoyance in her voice so I laughed and frowned.

"I'm sorry, I'm just tired from our photo shoot today," I reasoned out cause to soften her expression and arranged the drink in front of us.

"So, what news on the first day?" She was curious so I frowned because I couldn't understand what she was implying.

"Huh? You're saying?"

"You know Stella if you could just choke I would have done it now. You're so slow when it comes to jokes!" I could feel the irritation in her voice and I laughed out loud. Because of that, some of our workmates kept looking at us because of our voices and laughter.

"Just a joke. He's nice and gentle-" I stopped what I was saying when she slapped me on the arm and screamed so I covered my ears because I was irritated by her sudden aggressiveness.

"He's gentle in bed? Have you given up on your virginity ?!" She was asking a hysterical question so I couldn't help but blush and slap her mouth.

"Watch your words, Lara! I mean he's a gentleman and then what? My virginity?  My Gosh! What are you thinking." I blushed so she nodded and shrugged at what she heard.

"So, nothing happened between the two of you?" She repeated so I grabbed my forehead and closed my eyes tightly.

"Nothing! So can you lower your voice first? They're already wondering what we're talking about." I kept whispering so her eyes rolled again and her eyes went to my wedding ring.

"But your wedding ring is so rare. It looks like it was customized, it's just right on your finger.  Can you admit it to me, Stella? Have you known Jaxon for a long time and did you just pretend that your wedding was just an arranged marriage? " She was serious so I looked at her again but she just raised an eyebrow at me.

"Fine. You know I just came home last month, right?" I said in a serious tone so she scratched her head so hard and laughed.

"Of course, then after a month, you didn’t know that this day would come just for the sake of your parents' company. You immediately married Jaxon Azrael Buenaventura who is a billionaire and very handsome!" Her voice was happy and her foot was still trampling so I just shrugged my shoulders and let her do whatever she wanted to do.

"Lara, let's understand this job first. Stop fantasizing about him. Stop fantasizing Jaxon," I said so she nodded and I stood up because we would start shooting again.

But even before I could leave my seat, I was shocked when Lara grabbed my arm and looked at me seriously.

"Cassiopeia," she called seriously so I got serious because she mentioned my first name. That just meant she had something important to say so I had to listen.

"Even though we know that your marriage to Jaxon was private, be careful. Because you're now the billionaire's secret."

So this my first warning as the billionaire secret? This is my first warning as a billionaire wife?
