Chapter 63 – Confrontation

What Mel expected to happen didn’t happen and she became surer of her feelings. And maybe his, too. She expected him to become distant after giving birth, but he hasn’t. She expected him to focus more on their child, but he still spends more time with her. He would normally see Klay when she’s in the nursery. She’s beginning to doubt if he goes there on his own.

Pops visited often in the first few weeks. He would just sit there in the nursery watching the little boy when he’s asleep. When the baby’s awake, the old man would babble at him even though the baby doesn’t know how to do that yet. But Klay rarely cries in his presence. He would chuckle a lot and wiggle his arms and legs. It’s heartwarming to see.

As for Lily, she visited on the baby’s first weekend at home. She brought some baby clothes and some cute things as gifts. She even washed them already so they can try it on immediately.
