Aiden’s POV

I opened the car door for her to enter but she was too busy looking around.

“Oh my, it feels good to be out,” Rosy said, still looking around. “Ten years in that dump, breathing nothing but the stench of cheap bleach and dump and now—” She glanced around, inhaling again. “Now I can almost remember what power tastes like.”

I held the door open a little wider. “Glad you’re enjoying the breeze.”

She cut her eyes to me and gave me a face that meant business.

“ Enough of the chit chat, how are the plans going?”
