Grandfather sat down in his usual chair by the fireplace.
“I don’t really know how to say this or share this news,” Grandfather said, rubbing his forehead. “Logan and Eliza, there has been a huge accident.”
“What do you mean?” Logan said, looking puzzled.
Grandfather let out a sigh. You could tell he was really struggling with it.
“Your father’s helicopter crashed,” Grandfather said. “Unfortunately, there were no survivors.”
“What?” Logan screamed.
“When they were flying home from your school,” Grandfather stated. “The helicopter went down. Your parents and your grandmother were killed.”
“I knew I should have stopped him,” Logan started yelling and freaking out. “He killed them. That bastard killed them.”
