LOGINThe night I saved his life, he never saw my face. Instead, he believed the lie everyone wanted him to believe—that my sister was his savior. When she vanished on their wedding morning to avoid being tied down, my adoptive parents forced me to wear her dress, take her place, and marry the billionaire who had fallen in love with the wrong woman. For two years, Cassian Virelli hated me. He ignored me, humiliated me, and left me alone in an empty wing of his estate. Then the woman he truly loved returned with tears in her eyes and framed me for her disappearance. On the night she drugged him, he stumbled into my room. By morning, she replaced me just like always and took credit for everything. He signed our divorce papers without a second thought. So I left. I dropped the Sterling name, stripped away the Virelli title, and disappeared as Elaris Vance. Six years later, I returned to the city on a private jet as a billionaire empire builder with two secret children—Cassandra Eleanor and Casey Everett—and my business partner, Enzo Everhart, by my side. Now the billionaire who once called me his greatest mistake refuses to sign the final release. Because he has finally learned the devastating truth: I was the girl in the storm, my partner is my twin brother, and the children calling another man 'father' are his.

The Sterling Mansion was packed with guests, but the noise felt like a blur as I stood near the entrance with my father, waiting for the bride to appear. Two years ago, someone pulled me out of a burning car in the middle of a rainstorm, and even though my vision was blurred and I couldn't see her face, her voice remained clear in my memory.
When the Sterling family presented Liora as the girl who saved me, I gave my word to marry her to repay the debt, so I was standing here today ready to keep that promise.
Suddenly, Mr. Sterling hurried down the staircase with a pale face, and he grabbed my arm before pulling me into a private study while my father followed behind us.
"Where is Liora?" I asked, looking around the empty study as the door clicked shut behind us. "The ceremony is supposed to start in ten minutes, so why are you looking like this?"
"She's gone, Cassian," Mr. Sterling gasped out, clutching his chest while Mrs. Sterling began to cry softly into a handkerchief. "We checked her room just now, but her closet is empty and she left her ring on the dressing table."
My father stepped forward with a deep frown on his face. "What do you mean she's gone? Half the city is sitting in that hall right now, so you need to explain what happened."
"It's all because of Elaris," Mrs. Sterling said, pointing a finger toward the corner of the room where a young woman stood completely still.
"She has been jealous of Liora ever since we brought Liora home, and she knew Cassian was marrying her sister today, so she must have said something terrible to drive Liora away."
I turned my attention to the girl in the corner, who was wearing a faded dress while staring at the floor without making a single sound.
"Did you drive your sister away?" I asked, stepping closer to her because I needed a straight answer before deciding what to do next.
Elaris lifted her head slightly, but her voice was almost flat as she replied, "I didn't talk to Liora today, and I haven't seen her since last night."
"Don't lie to him!" Mrs. Sterling shouted, stepping between us while tears ran down her face. "You always wanted what belonged to your sister, and now you've ruined the biggest day of her life because you wanted Cassian for yourself."
"I don't care about the wedding," Elaris said softly, looking her mother in the eyes, "and I never asked for any of this."
"Listen to me, Cassian," Mr. Sterling interrupted, stepping between us with a desperate look on his face.
"The press is waiting outside, and the Virelli family name will be ruined if there is no wedding today, so we have to fix this right now."
"How do you propose we fix a missing bride?" my father asked, crossing his arms with an irritated sigh.
"Elaris can take her place," Mr. Sterling said quickly, pointing back toward his daughter. "She is wearing the inner dress already, so we can put the veil on her, send her down the aisle, and nobody outside will notice the difference until the paperwork is signed."
"You want me to marry her instead?" I asked, looking back at Elaris, who hadn't moved an inch since her father made the suggestion.
"It's the only way to save both our families from embarrassment," Mr. Sterling urged, coming closer to press the issue. "You promised to marry a Sterling daughter today, so this fulfills the agreement, and we can handle the search for Liora privately after the guests leave."
"Elaris, put on the veil and get ready," Mrs. Sterling commanded, pushing a box into her daughter's hands without waiting for her consent.
Elaris looked at the white box, then she looked up at me with calm eyes. "Are you really going to agree to this?"
"I gave my word that I would marry into this family to repay the life that was saved," I answered, keeping my voice cold because I didn't care which daughter stood beside me as long as my debt was settled.
"If your parents say you are taking her place, then put on the veil so we can get this over with."
She took a slow breath, nodded once without arguing, and walked toward the small fitting room at the side of the study. Ten minutes later, she stepped out with the thick lace veil covering her face completely, and her parents quickly dragged her toward the doors.
The music started playing as soon as we reached the back of the hall, and the guests stood up to watch us walk down the aisle together. I took her arm, feeling how tense her muscles were under the thin fabric of her dress, but I kept my eyes fixed straight ahead on the altar.
We reached the priest, who began reciting the traditional vows, and every time he asked for a response, Elaris answered in a quiet tone that barely reached my ears.
When it was time to exchange the rings, I slid the platinum band onto her finger, but my heart wasn't in it because the woman I intended to honor was missing, and the woman beside me was accused of driving her away.
The priest finished the service and turned to the crowd. "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife."
The crowd applauded as the priest motioned for us to turn around, but before she could lift her veil to face the room, I leaned in close so only she could hear my voice above the noise.
"Don't expect me to ever love you."
Elaris’ POVWhen the loud knocking sounded at my bedroom door, I pulled my simple robe tighter around my trembling shoulders, tried to hide the red marks on my neck, and slowly turned the lock to open it. Cassian stood out in the long hallway holding a clear file folder in his right hand, and he looked down at me with cold, distant eyes that made my heart drop before he even spoke a single word."Here are the divorce papers," Cassian said, thrusting the thick folder directly into my hands while keeping a clear distance between us, "I slept with Liora last night, I am going to take full responsibility for what happened between us, and I will not let her suffer for another day because of our marriage."I stared at his face in complete shock, but I forced my expression to stay completely blank, took the papers without saying a word back to him, and held them tightly against my chest."Do you really not have anything to say to me right now?" Cassian asked, frowning at my complete lack
Cassian’s POVThe Virelli family gathered around the long dining table to host a welcome-home dinner for Liora, and as the evening went on, I noticed how Elaris remained unusually quiet in her seat near the end of the table while Liora sat beside me looking fragile, timid, and innocent."Liora, try a bit more of this roast," my mother said gently, passing a plate across the table while smiling down at her with a soft expression on her face. "You look so thin after being away from home for two years, so you need to eat as much as you can tonight.""Thank you, Mrs. Virelli," Liora replied in a sweet, quiet voice, looking around the table at everyone before giving me a shy smile. "Everyone in this house is being so kind to me, and I missed all of you so much while I was away.""We are just glad you are back home safe," my father chimed in, taking a sip from his glass while looking toward the end of the table. "Elaris, why are you barely touching your food tonight? You have not said a
Cassian’s POVWhen my assistant called my cell phone to inform me that Liora had just landed at the city airport, I dropped my pen on the table, grabbed my suit jacket from the chair, and drove straight to the terminal without taking any of my security guards along with me. For two long years, the heavy guilt of letting my savior disappear on our wedding day weighed on my chest every single morning, so the moment I stepped inside the terminal and saw her standing near the exit doors, I moved through the crowd quickly and called out her name."Liora!" I shouted, picking up my pace until she turned around, saw me standing there, and threw her arms around my neck while crying uncontrollably against my shoulder."Cassian, it is really you," Liora sobbed, holding onto my suit jacket tightly as if she was terrified I would vanish into thin air if she dared to let go of me for a single second, "I was so scared to come back home, but I missed you so much every single day.""Where have y
Elaris’ POVTwo long years passed after that wedding morning, and Cassian maintained his distance from me completely, choosing to live in the west wing of the estate while treating me like a total stranger whenever our paths happened to cross in the quiet hallways. He never sat down to eat dinner with me, he forgot my birthday twice without sending as much as a card, he ignored our wedding anniversaries entirely, and he made sure we were never left alone together in the same room for more than a few awkward minutes.Even though my husband wanted nothing to do with me and blamed me for everything that went wrong, I continued to fulfill every single duty expected of a proper Virelli daughter-in-law, managing the household accounts, preparing meals for his family, and taking care of the massive estate without making a single sound or complaining about my situation. One afternoon, Cassian's grandmother sat at the table in the main dining room while I brought her a fresh cup of tea, an
