Love is unexpected. When we love, we are willing to do anything. We are willing to gave everything up for the one we love. Because love is... sacrifices.
Napa-preno ako bigla nang may lalaking akmang tatawid sa kalsada. Damn it!
I went near him.
"Hey! Are you blind?!
He didn't answer though. He didn't look at me too, kaya mas lalo lang akong nairita.
"Tumingin ka nga sa akin! I'm talking to you, you asshole!"
"Damn... He's really blind?" I whispered to myself.
He's handsome. Medyo malaki rin ang pangangatawan niya. Sakto lang ang kulay niya, moreno kumbaga. Medyo matangkad din siya. Ang guwapo naman niyang bulag! And he have a deep voice!
"I-i'm here!"
Why am I suddenly stuttering? Tsk!
"I'm sorry. I-i didn't know that you're.. blind."
He nodded his head.
He stopped walking.
Baka kasi ayaw niya palang basta basta siyang hinahawakan!
"S-sorry! I just want to help you..." Nahihiya kong sabi.
Fuck it! He looks 100% handsome when he smile!
"Salamat, pero kaya ko naman."
I was about to say another words when someone called him.
I think she's 17 or 18 years old?
"He's your brother?" I asked.
I'm sorry, I didn't know that he's blind."
"I told you, miss you don't have to say sorry. Wala kang kasalanan. Ako ang may maling nagawa."
I turned to him.
"I'm at fault too.
"Wait for me here.
"Here's my card. Just call me if may sumakit sa'yo.
"Huh?"
"Elly, let's go.
Gosh! Hindi talaga ako makapaniwalang nakita kita dito! Salamat po!"
Natawa naman ako sa sinabi niya.
"Ahm, I can bring you to your house if you want."
I can't believe that I met someone like him. Kahit bulag siya, ang guwapo niya. And they are really kind too.
There was a trace of shock on the face of Ava. Arnold could see it and despised it. He could tell that something had swept Ava's mind off the topic of interest. “Is everything okay?" He asked her calmly. Ava chuckled and looked at him. Then, she said, “The internet is buzzing, you know." Arnold sighed. “I do think we expected it." Ava shook her head. Arnold didn't understand what she meant. “Something else just took over the internet,” she said to him and flipped the screen for him to take a look. "Ryan and Kristie are divorced?” Ava nodded his head. The news was definitely bad for Arnold. He hated the fact that Ryan had to always find a way to wriggle himself into the conversation. “Isn't that somewhat strange?" She asked him. Arnold shook his head. "Maybe not,” he replied. He tried to continue from where they stopped in their conversation. But Ava was not having any of it. Arnold got pissed. He was mad and had to vent it on the right person. It was merely a matter of time
Moments later, Ryan drove into Kristie's home and parked right in front of the house before walking in. Kristie was just seated in the living room, idling with her phone, when he walked in. Ryan's motion came to an abrupt halt the moment he saw her. The document that he received earlier on was clutched tightly in his hand. “Look who we have here," Kristie said in a jovial tone. But Ryan was not cut out for her play at the moment. He drew closer and slammed the document on the table. “What's the fuss about?" She asked him. She was purposely trying to get under his skin. He was going crazy already. What was the need to drive him crazier? Ryan pointed at the document on the table. “What is this about? A divorce? At this moment? Damn it, Kristie! This isn't right." Kristie was mute for a while. She leaned back and crossed her legs. “What isn't right? You mean divorcing you isn't right. You are not that daft." Ryan shut his eyes and opened them. He was searching for the proper wo
A couple of hours into the day, Ryan was getting his check-up from a nurse. The whole event could not just give him a little breathing time. Ava had hit him in a manner that he least expected her to. “When will I be free to leave this place?" He asked the female nurse attending to him. With a smile, she replied, "When you are ready, sir.” Ryan felt he was ready to take on his daily routine again. They say a man whose house is on fire has no time to go after rats. That was his condition at the moment. There was no need for him to let himself remain on the hospital bed, waiting to be properly healed before facing the challenges ahead of him. He could imagine the disappointment his father was probably feeling over the matter. The man had his reasons to be mad at him. Ryan failed handle the situation well. Or maybe Ava was just too much for him to handle. “I think I'm ready right now," he said. “I have a whole lot on my table to do at the moment. I should be out there already."
When the morning was in full swing, the news of Ryan's defeat had reached every nook and cranny of the internet. It was the most searched topic on every blog. Ryan's phone would not stop buzzing. Calls and messages from business associates never stopped coming in. His social media handles were flooded with words that could traumatise a soul. Humans just didn't know when to draw the line and stop. In his home, his father was fuming badly while waiting for him to return. Kristie played the role of a good daughter-in-law. “Please, calm down," Kristie said to the man in a seemingly concerned tone. Mr Blake was tapping his knee cap on a regular rhythm. He was trying desperately to ease off the tension that was on the rise inside him. “Where the hell is your husband?!" He finally growled. Kristie pretended to care. But the truth was that she didn't. As a matter of fact, she was getting things in line to pull the string that would collapse the family's business. “He's probably out ther
When Ryan got back home, his father was in his house. Mr Blake had fire in his eyes. Ryan walked in and was received by the fiery glare from his own father. “Good evening, dad,” he greeted him. The man responded violently. He grabbed the glass cup by his side and sent it to the wall. The sound of
The next morning, Arnold woke up before anyone else. He had specifically instructed the chef not to come in the morning. He went to the kitchen and made breakfast for everyone. When he was done, he woke the children by himself and bathed them. He went on to get them dressed. Ava had taken notice o
Ryan and Adrianna were in the waiting area still waiting for the doctor. The little girl had finished having the snacks Ryan bought for her. “Mister, thank you,” she said to him. Ryan looked at her and smiled warmly. “You are welcome, my dear.” “Have you spoken to my mother?” She asked. Ryan no
Ryan drove as fast as he could with his attention partly divided between the boy and the road. “Please, save my brother,” Adrianna said amidst tears innocently from the backseat. Ryan looked at her through the front mirror. The little girl was cuddling her brother. Ryan stretched his right hand t
