Chapter 7: the summoning

Katherine's pov

"And what did you say to him?" Freddie asked.

I gave him a death glare like "what did you expect?" He got the memo and adjusted his shirt trying to act busy… Better.

"I basically told him to take his filthy money and go!" I exclaimed, getting annoyed just thinking about the whole scenario.

"So you told him to take back his 10 million and go? Just like that?" He asked with disbelief lacing each word.

"Yes Freddie, I'm not some piece of art he can just wake up one day and decide to own just because he's wealthy," I stated.

"But why you? Why did he choose you?" He asked.

"I don't know, I really do not… well maybe it's because we are poor and deep in dept," I told him.

"He's not someone like that Katherine and we are not the only poor orphans in town," he said as a matter of fact.
